You owned a PS3 and you don't have a DVD burner? Hmmm.... DVD burners are only $35 - $50 (go with LiteOn, it's the best, can booktype any DVD-R or DVD+R DL easily).
Anyways, CDs won't work, you'll need to burn the YDL 5.0 ISO with either DVD Decrypter or ImgBurn on a DVD-R or DVD+R disc.

Get some high quality media like: Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim or Hitachi Maxell (MIJ by Hitachi Corp.) and you'll be square away. Best of luck with YDL 5.0 on your PS3, enjoy your High Definition PS3 games now.

im on the installation part of the linux and noticed that the ps3 controller doesn't work for me to press enter. The guide says you need a mouse and keyboard but i mines arent usb compatible to fit in the ps3 slots, there these circle shapes. So how can i make it work?

I was reading through the guide and it mentioned that the Wifi won't work after installing Yellow Dog. Is this correct? From my understanding it will work on the PS3 web browser, but not the Linus OS. Can anyone with YDL 5.0 confirm this?

Try to get a wireless mouse & keyboard from Best Buy if you can.

actually yellow dog linux has been online now for 10 years it runs also on mac os x
so mac users had it first

I've looked everywere and couldn't find a solution to exiting besides using a keyboard/mouse.

that link not workin it been downloadin for a all time and it have negative percentage and on my ps3 i have the two peuiguins on the screen with the kboot sayin not found it keep sayin not found so i need yellow dog link that would work. please help me

Ok well I keep getting an error saying something like "Lease failed" or something then it keeps saying something searching for directory... i don't know whats going on because i have otheros.bld and otheros.self and i burned the iso file to a dvd using Sonic(i don't know what rest is called but i got it when i bought my hp computer) and it's really like "wtf" thats how i'm acting. WHATS WRONG WHAT FILE DO I NEED TO DOWNLOAD!!! TELL ME ALL THE FILES I NEED AND I WILL DOUBLE CHECK THAT I HAVE THEM ALL!!!
