Well, the MAC Address was only an example; I know they don't really have a "MAC" Address. I'm not so sure the board standing up is JUST for convenience, or if it acts like a DHCP Server (again, JUST an example), in the way that it assigns the controllers the address when the xbox starts up.
But again, I have no idea why it does that. You would be better off asking the original creator of Yelo; but he/she hasn't talked about it for months now. If they would release the source code, there are many, including myself that would like to see if we could fix these small mishaps.

hiya, i did everything said here,except my "trainers" folder happens to be in the "mini" folder...so i configured the targets in the ".ini" file(still found in "mini" folder), so it could find my games on my hdd, and find the yelo trainer too...
so the launcher succesfully finds my games, and im able to choose the trainer, BUT the commands don't seem to work.
Take "back+dpad-left" for 3rd person, all these don't work on halo2.
but the "infinite" ammo worked though. BTW, my halo 2's version 1.1 and i have the multiplayer mappack installed...thought i'd mention that. I tried the commands with halo2 ce, killtrocity v1 and v2(all of these burned to hdd), but the commands would'nt work.

well that didn't work either, so i went to extremes and renamed the "$u" folder....everything's swell now....
BY JOHN...the killtrocity mappacks look amazing in 3p.
Now if i could lay hands on the AI Remapped packs..

not sure you read it or not, but that's the part of page 12 that you were supposed to read - to change $u

I have no clue why I didn't put that in the main tutorial itself. I'm sure it's just because I forgot. Either way, I just added it into the main tutorial itself.

Just realised yelo's got no super jump...any way to add it in there??or possibly run yelo simultaenously with another trainer with super jump in it??

Hey,
I have a problem I put everything on and the trainer works but it doesn't detect halo 2. How come ? I also think it says ( because its very faint) verify your ini config...

Wherever you have Halo 2 stored, it may not recognize that location. So look for the settings file (probably that ini, but I don't have my xbox right now to check), and add that location to the file.
I have my games in F:\games, and I don't believe that was in the file, so I added it.

Hey,
I sort of managed to get it working. I changed a little bit of code in the config.ini file to this:
# 1 trainer path only
Trainers_Path = "E:\Apps\Xored 2.2\Trainers"
#Trainers_Path = "E:\Apps\Xored 2.2\Trainers"
and it worked like it shows the halo 2 game and I can get into the screen where I choose what I want but when I press start, it says loading and then it just seems to freeze. :( What do I do ?

Hey,
I got it working I had to change the game path. One more problem when I rename $U All my extra maps disappear i.e. Relic, Sanctuary and all the extra maps from the map pack extension disc. So what do I do.

I believe to get your extra maps back, you have to re-install the maps from the map pack disc.
if that doesn't work, maybe kslice can help you ... he's good at that kind of thing, though I think he's been kinda busy lately.

Yeah, been pretty busy lately with life and all :-/
I could have sworn I wrote a tutorial on the multiplayer maps before...but I can't seem to find it.
To put things simply, you need to find ALL of the ".map" files in /E/TDATA/4d530064/$C and copy it to /E/games/Halo 2/maps/ THEN you need to replace your "mainmenu.map" file with a patched file. I can give you these files, but I don't have the time to write out how to use them.
I just hope that you know how to use a patch file and patcher.
mainmenu.map patch file
Serenity Patcher
Additional Files:
Derelict Map Patch
Highplains Map Patch
Use the additional map file patches if you have those maps and need it.
Once you're done patching and placing all files, make sure to rename the /E/TDATA/4d530064/$C folder to ANYTHING else!
I guess, if you still have problems...let me know and I'll try to make some time to make a meaningful tutorial for this. Hopefully this will suffice for now.

i need help. when i go to my folder

and i have to ftp the things in that folder to my raw folder.
i dont have anything in that folder. what do i do?

I'm not sure about the ftp stuff, but for the spinning screen, you can try to either restart the level, or restart the checkpoint - that's helped me in the past.

i try to use the trainer and when i disabled the automatic update AND developers mode. i tried to play on campaign and my screen was going crazy and wouldnt stop spinning. then i disabled the automatic update manually by changing the $U to whatever and it's still like that. also none of the button configurations work for me. like the time freeze and stuff like that. how do i work this thing is basically what i'm asking

can someone help me i put killtrocity on my xbox but after that it said failed map then i tack it off but i cna load up a game ever again like a normall gam ei can tload up nothing so if you have some answers tell me please because im lost

There is a trainer for the original halo, but it's nothing like Yelo. In fact, the only way to use it is to copy Halo to your Xbox HDD and patch the files. If you're still interested, let me know.

That's a bit hard to read, but I'll try. You might want to try the ol' famous modders trick here. What you do is FTP to your xbox, find the "/E/CACHE/" folder and delete everything in there (do not delete the folder itself). Now you'll need to pop in the actual Halo 2 Disk and load a multiplayer map fully. After that, it should work off the HDD. All this does is refresh the cache that your xbox saved onto it's HDD.

Again, read the controls list I have posted somewhere in this thread; they'll help you out a lot. I would also recommend that you only have one controller plugged in when playing. Then you just use the list I mentioned above and you should be able to stop the spinning. No, I'm not sure why it does that...Here's a shortened list, see if one of these works:
back+dpad-up = first person perspective
back+dpad-down = third person perspective
back+dpad-left = chasecam perspective
back+dpad-right = devcam perspective

Again, when taking the screenshot, make sure you ONLY have ONE xbox controller plugged in, updates are turned off, and developer mode is turned on. Also make sure you remembered to place the "config_v1.5.inc" file in the "/E/TDATA/4d530064/" folder.
