Could you give me a little more detail please?
I mean, when you make the folder, what doesn't in?

you knwo the apps folder with dxd2xbox in it and whe you put thing in it it goes to the applictions section in your softmodded menu

You might want to try to re-read the tutorial, and re-install the Evolution X dashboard. If done right, there should already be an apps folder, and when you place something in it, and reboot your xbox, then the application should show up on the dashboard.

1. What dashboard do you have on your xbox?
unleshedX (not sure wat version)
2. When you click on the trainer, are you able to select some options; or does the screen that has 'Halo 2' just stay there?

so anyway i dont kno if im even the 1 soposed that your directing these questions on but ill answer them anyway cuz im desperat for an answer so my problem is that the first time i ever even tryed it after enableing the 2 options at the top i press start and it goes into a loading screen then it goes into a black screen playing the music then it pauses, but i can still hear the music but its skipping.how do i fix it?

Well, it might help you if you had the Evolution-X Dashboard Installed instead. However, I will ask you these questions:
1. Is the version of Halo 2 you are using NTSC or PAL?
2. Can you play the game normally without the trainer?
3. Can you launch the game with Xored but without a trainer. (Read below for explanation).
4. Have you completely cleared everything you've tried before, and tried installing this with a clean start?

To do this, launch Xored Trainer Launcher, Select the game you want. Do not choose a trainer, but just press X. The game should start loading, and the LED around the eject button of your xbox should remain green.

If you can answer the questions above, it will help me greatly to help you solve your problem.

and also i just figured out that i can run the trianer with a normal disk in, but i selected some skulls and they didnt work and when i went to the lvl metropolis after the cutsene my camera was just spinning uncontrolably relly fast so i coulnt do anythig but wen i tryed the first lvl it didnt do that so anyway i run the trianer with the disk i can get to my new map that i downloaded off xbox live so thats another problem.
help me with yelo trainer!!!

ok i got it fix but i had alot to say and i typed it and i guess i started daydreaming and pressed back cuz i dont see it and i dont remember pressing submit reply or watever it is
but the problem was that i had put another games folder in the /e/games
so it looked like this
/e/games/games/halo 2
so thats why it didnt work with the copy on my HD.

Well, putting the additional /games/ directory shouldn't effect anything because Xored reads the .xbe but hey, if it worked, go for it!
As for the new maps, just turn OFF the "disable auto-update" feature, and make sure not to re-name the $U folder.

just a question why would i have to change the name of the $u folder? like wat would be the problem?
but anyway thank a bunch for wat i did that you told me to fix wat problems i had..... lol.... but seriously...
and do you kno how i would make the kiltrocity mappack show up as a different button on the games list in the main menu because when i had reg. Halo 2 and the killtrocity mappack in the same directory and i selected the only Halo 2 button that show'd up it went to the killtrocity mappack... well if you understood wat i just sed you could try to help but if not or you just dont feel like it dont worry about it .=)

The $u folder is your update folder. If it is not named properly, your xbox cannot find the updates.
I'll see about making you a new default.xbe file so that the game title will show up differently.

Well, since everybody else double posts, I guess I will too.
Here it is, I am too lazy to pull off a killtrocity "default.xbe" file. Here's what I need you to do:
1. Upload a copy of the default.xbe file from the killtrocity disk to the internet. (Use FTP to do this).
2. Send me the link.
3. Send me a message telling me what you want the new name to be.
4. I will re-upload the "default.xbe" and re-send it back to you. You use the new default.xbe on your HDD and all of the sudden, the name will be changed!

Yeah, I've posted a lot of stuff on there over time. It's such a shame though -- nobody ever visits the site and everybody that does just leeches everything. I really wish I could find some people that knew how to do some of that stuff and help contribute :-/
Well, I'll be waiting for an update from you to see if it worked or not.
So, I take it you found the edit button now?

it works!!
ya srry to keep you waiting but i had alot to do the past few days so thanks. and to you kno a tut for hex editting so i can edit out the map options that i dont need cuz i deleted the map, cuz i didnt like em.....
o ya and i did find the edit button...

Depends on what map options. For most of the options, you can just use DotHalo or Entity to edit those options. So, let me know what options you are talking about first.

well, i just put killtrocity v2 on and i was wondering, would you rename it cuz i cant run yelo without puting it in the right directory. thats why i wanted you to renamed the last 1. or if you now of 1 you could just give me a tutorial on hex editing.
and nevermind about the options thing its not a problem. and did i tell you that the thing worked? cuz it did... =)
o ya and do you have xbox live or XBC?

Trust me, hex editing this kind of stuff isn't the answer, and I don't know of a tutorial for it.
However, I guess I'll make a tutorial on how to rename .xbe files. However, until then, I'll just post the renamed files on here. I'll add them to the tut later.
Just give me a day or so, I've been really busy lately.

k, but i just made like 4 modded disks and wow, i never thought it was so ez. every1 sed it was hard but wen you get the stuff in order it easy... =) but anyway ive been relly busy to with all this portforwarding and calling my internet ppl and modded disks... screaming nephews running around, its all just 1 big headaech.
but dont worry about renameing that thing, just post a tut and i should be able to figure it out.
i normally have problems with tuts but yours are relly detailed.
and do you kno if its possible to add new maps to a modded disk??? thx
*Edit* ok i just played like all my modded disks to make sure they all worked properly and no, most of them say unknown somtimes when i put them in the disk drive while im in the dash and, the killtrocity 2 mappack, i can only play 1 map and then it wont load the next map so i got to restart my xbox.
and i made them by using, a maxwell DVD+RW 4.7 GB DVD, and the xISO program that comes with the killtrocity mappack to make the ISO, and Sonic - MyDVD plus to burn it to the DVD.

hi
i'm a noobi
i downloaded the trainer and everything
i use the F drive becuase i changed the hdd and halo is on the hdd
i change the $U folder to -$U-
and all the options in the trainer work like infinite health and stuff
but when i go to use the comands like what is the the TXT file
it doesn't work
and also, my multiplayer pack is nolonger there
