I bought a cheap cable on Ebay for £8 (around $17). Seems to be working fine. I also had trouble getting the PS3 to work with my HD TV but I read on another forum that you hold the power button down until the second beep (around 5 seconds) and the PS3 goes into automatic and detects the tv's settings. I did it and it worked exactly as it said it would. Playing Resistance on 1080i which is BEAUTIFUL!!!
well im glad i came here, i was experiencing the same problem with my magnavox 42mf230a/37 plasma, i guess i will have to get the components, since the ones i bought on ebay SUCK. thanks for the long informative read guys
i need help...i got the DVI to HDMI for ps3 . nd it goes HD only on the home screen and the demos i downloaded, but not the games i hav (resistance fom, nba 2k7). But it works on the demos (gran turismo hd concept, nba 07). sum1 pleease hellp mee

more than likely your tv wont support the mode the games are in.
try setting it down on 720p or up at 1080i if its on 720p
Hi i just bought a PS3 and on my plasma i didn't have HDMI so i bought a HDMI to DVI cable and yet the picture won't come up on my tv??? Does this mean my tv isn't HDCP compatible? help me please!!
