DVD Shrink Question?

I love the forums, because they help me alot with programs that i have trouble with. When I Shrink a movie and then burn it with HT Fireman i could play it on my computer with PowerDVD but i soon as i put it to a regular DVD player it wont play. It gives me an error message and if i put the disc in my playstation 2 it say please insert disc. Whats going on with my discs? Am i doing something wrong when i DVD Shrink it? and why could it play on my computer and not the stand-alone players? Many thanks for any responses!

ht fireman seems to be ur problem..use dvd shrinkonly it should work on any dvd player after that... all u do is open disc. after that click back up.then after thats done ur disk drive will open up then u put a blank dvd and it will burn u a copy that will play in anything

I thought DVD Shrink, only shrinks. I didnt think it also burns. I dont get how it also burn the movie after it shrinks it.?

You will need another program to burn with such as Nero, CopyToDVD, ImgBurn, DVD Decrypter or some other burning program. Shrink cannot burn. It can "call" another program to burn though.

I recommend DVD Decrypter because it is free and is one of the programs that Shrink can call automatically to burn with.

HT Fireman is supposed to burn DVDs per their manual:

You may have better luck with this program by creating an ISO disc image and burning that to a DVD.

It's all about ending up with DVD-Video compliant files on your copy. A PC will play pretty much anything you throw at it, DVD players are much pickier. The format and file structure must be correct. Fireman seems to have made a data DVD for you rather than compliant DVD-Video files.

I don't like bashing any program until I know it has problems and I won't bash Fireman. However....
I do know what works and Decrypter is about as easy as it gets.
