@Brewgod23
Open Season has the same protection as Saw 3 - don't have it yet so I would guess you would need AnyDVD and CloneDVD unchecking the bad titles

Or use RipIt4Me.guide

@Nrth16
Did you check you paths in RipIt4Me - still getting the same error w/ Decrypter.
Do you have another drive you can try this in?

@DvDoc
Keep us posted on how you make out too!

Impossible, unless you got a DVD without the new copy protection. DVD Shrink can't open the newer copy protections. That's why the need for RI4M along with DVD Decrypter and FixVTS. All Shrink does with RI4M is run a quick analysis for a compliance test. After that Shrink is working on it's own if the user decides to use it for transcoding. Shrink simply uses the cleaned files RI4M ripped for it. I closed down Shrink and used DVDCopy 5 for a transcode and burn and later ran the files through RB/CCE.

I guess that's another one. I've been noticing AnyDVD is working better with other programs than with Slysoft's own CloneDVD 2. Maybe they need to update it instead of the AnyDVD. I'll take that back, both probably need updated. ;)

saw 3 was a little challenge but RipIt4Me Full DVD rip did the job then used DVDRebuilder Pro w/CCE for movie only and burn directly to disk with CopyToDVD! Perfectoooooooooo! Once it went through those blanked out vts titles it wasn't a problem! FixVTS did the trick and cleaned up everything! When once in a while a problem disk comes along.... it's nice to know that there are always some programs out there that will do the job!

I finally got Saw 3 to burn using any dvd 6.1.0.7, dvd fab, then clone 2 but it doesn't play in all my players. Still not sure why it isn't working when others will play. I would love to get this copyied the right way without all the hassles I went through. Could someone please tell me what the beta version of any dvd is and how it would affect the any dvd that I paid for? All of my dvd players are new and will play any other newer movies I burn.

When i was using RI4M at 99% as i said earlier it came up with some errors called On-The-Fly. i continued anyway and now writing the dvd. i was reading through some other threads and found some people said that after they watched ther burnt copy they noticed some of the scenes were missing. could this happen with my copy becuase of the error that showed up in RI4M? if so. is ther anyway to check once it has been burnt without watching each of dvds becuase i really dont want to do that.

Just a little recount of what we've been seeing. AnyDVD is up to 6.1.1.2 beta. It's still not working with CloneDVD 2 v2.9.0.3 in full auto for a Full DVD. It stalls on VTS 7 and "Oh No!". It will do a full (or almost full) DVD by editing. The movie only with Preserve Menu works. Strangely enough AnyDVD is working with other programs for Full DVD, like Nero Recode 2 and some others we've learned from previous posts. It still won't work with DVD Shrink.

Last I heard Saw3 Unrated in region 1 is still giving DVDFab Decrypter problems. If that's the case it's probably giving the rest of the DVDIdle software problems as well.

RI4M, since the FixVTS 1.6.0.3 update, has been doing extremely well. It can't claim to be the only setup doing a Full DVD backup. However it is the only one I know of that does a clean Full DVD rip that can easily be used in any editing, transcoding, or encoding software of choice. If your software works at all, it should be able to use the cleaned files from RipIt4Me.

Use either 6.1.1.1 or 6.1.1.2 w/ CloneDVD
http://sandbox.slysoft.com/SetupAnyDVD6112.exe
http://sandbox.slysoft.com/SetupAnyDVD6111.exe?aid=50606
Uncheck the bad titles at least - 7,15,16,17.
Ignore the repair error - click cancel.
Want better compression uncheck what you don't want.

@DvDoc
Check the running time of the movie on the copy should be 1:53:44 or very close.

I got those same errors twice at the 99% mark on RIPIT4ME. I click ok both times at that point it opened DVDshrink and shrunk it. I made a copy with DVDdecrypter with everything and a made a copy from the VOB files with cloneDVD2. That way I could cut out all the stupid previews. I played and watched the copy that I burned with CloneDVVD2 and it played flawlessly. It was a little more tedious than using AnyDVD and CloneDVD2 but at least it works. Slysoft had better get on the ball with all the latest and greatest protection coming out.

Finally... 100% complete full disc. and since so many people seem to continue having problems here is all you have to do.

Step1: Open up RI4M ver:1.6.4.0. Make sure you have FixVTS ver:1.6.0.2. If you dont RI4M will promt you to get it and give u a link to download it. Do this and install it. Before starting Step2 if you have AnyDVD make sure it is not running.

Step2: Using the 1-Click Mode follow the easy step-by-step instructions offered through the program, making sure to sure the files to your hard drive C and remembering where the folder is. RI4M will do its thing and eventually FixVTS will open up and run its course. At 99% an error reading

On-the-fly IFO/BUP file patching failed!
File Name: VTS_16_0.IFO
Size: 81,920 bytes
Reason: PatchIFO failed.

THEN-----------------------
On-the-fly IFO/BUP file patching failed!
File Name: VTS_64_0.IFO
Size: 81,920 bytes
Reason: PatchIFO failed.

click ok and continue to let FixVTS do its thing. It should only take a couple of seconds

Step3: The whole process up to this point should have taken approximatley 1 hour. Now that RI4M is done go into your Hard Drive C and find the folder you had RI4M save the dvd files into and put it onto your desktop. IMPORTANT! Do not create a shortcut to the folder. you must directly cut the folder from its location and put it onto your desktop. To prevent a simple error on this step. close RI4M before you try to put the folder on your desktop.

Step4: Open up CloneDVD2 and you will have 3 options 1) Copy DVD Titles 2) Clone DVD 3) Write Existing Data. "SAW 3" dvd information has already been ripped to your computer from using RI4M so go ahead an put in a blank disk. Now choose option 2 Clone DVD. click NEXT->

Step5: Here you will have the option to get rid of subtitles and choose your audiostreams. You can keep both sets of subtitles if you choose but the only audiostream you need to keep checked is English dolby AC-3/6 for your highest quality. Once again Click NEXT->

Step6: You are now asked to choose your "Output Method" and are given 3 options 1)DVD FILES 2)ISO/UDF IMAGE 3)DVD WRITER. Choose option 3)DVD WRITER and set your burn speed. Click NEXT->

Step7:
Almost done. CloneDVD2 is now preparing to write. It will start by "Creating DVD files..." this should take about 20mins. It will then start "Writing..." All that is left for you to do is sit back and wait for CloneDVD2 to finish writing your new copy of "SAW 3" the writing process should take about 30mins. In total this whole process takes about 2hours give or take depending on your system.

I use RipIt4Me 1.6.4.0, DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0,FixVTS 1.6.0.3, and DVD Shrink 3.2....

ok here is my problem... I run RipIt4Me in Full Disc mode, and it creates the .psl file correctly for DVD Decrypter... DVD Decrypter runs and says it is finished... then RipIt4Me tries to run FixVTS on the new VTS files... only now they are gone... while DVD Decrypter was running I had the output folder open and I could see the files being created on the hard drive. As soon as RipIt4Me tried to run FixVTS, the files just went "poof" and disapeared.... what can I do.. the copy of Saw i have is the Region 1 Unrated Edition...

Nope you key is still good on beta versions too. You can just install it over the version you have - just have AnyDVD turned off when you install.

I think I know why you got the errors in the end you need FixVTS 1.0.6.3.
Here's a link: FixVTS

25 January: Version 1.6.5 is released.
From the changelog:
RipIt4Me 1.6.4.0 was able to rip Saw III without any change to the code (although 1.6.5.0 will do it a bit nicer, avoiding the DVD Decrypter messages)!
That was a significant achievement! We thank all the beta testers and the users who've helped bring this app where it is. The only reward we want is your satisfaction with the program.
