Still a bit confused over the AnyDVD download 6.1.1.3. I uninstalled the old version, rebooted, downloaded the update from the SlySoft site yet when I run the program it tells me I have version 6.1.0.7. The strange thing is it decodes Saw 3. So do i really have 6.1.1.3 even though it states I have version 6.1.0.7? Are there any other legit links to the newest download? I am a licensed user of AnyDVD.

AnyDVD 6107 does do the movie only with CloneDVD. I downloaded the 6113 version by clicking on the 6107 option that loads at the site and the download version is 6113. Looking in the downloading window it will tell you what version is being DLed.

Very odd, but AnyDVD 6.1.1.3 doesn't recogize Saw III if you put in the DVD while AnyDVD is running in the background. What I did was turn AnyDVD off, put in the DVD, let is play for a minute, got out of PowerDVD and THEN turned AnyDVD on. That way, it recogized it, removed the encryption and structure protection, and I was able to shrink and burn Saw III with Nero Recode and Nero. Weird, though...

Great job. From the mouths of Newbs. Well done. First one that I've seen able to use it with Shrink!

I guess I'll need to email SlySoft about this problem. When I attempt to download 6113 from their site this is what I get:
SetupAnyDvd.exe
There is no mention of the actual download being 6113 except for the link from their download page.
When I attempt to run this download it states I am downloading version 6107. I then keep getting alerts that a newer version of AnyDVD (6113) is available. Again, I delete anything having to do with the older version before attempting to download the newer version.
I was successful in downloading the last update (6112) from a link on this site ("sandbox.anydvd6112...")

I'd like to thank Pacman and confirm that his tutorial does work and is probably the easiest.
Using...
DVD Decrypt 3.5.4.0
DVD Shrink 3.2.0.15
RipIt4Me 1.6.6.0
FixVTS 1.6.0.3
I was able to make a complete backup of Saw 3, which I confirmed by watching the copy including all extras. Furthermore although I have been using DVD Shrink forever, I never noticed the Quality Settings tab. This really pisses me off since I have over 800 copied DVDs using the reqular settings. Takes a little longer, but does produce a much better quality output. Thanks again for that tip Pacman.
Initially when I had a problam with the oudated version of RipIt4Me I was using, I tried the CloneDVD/AnyDVD method, which was more confusing and did not produce a viable copy. To all noobs out there, stick with this tutorial...it works, I assure you.

Hi Guys. This is my first posting to ANY forum thread. I also had a bad experience trying to backup SAW3 UR. Shrink couldn't read disk. I read a posting way back that advised to use AnyDVD and Nero Recode2. I do not have RI4M, DVDClone, Decrypter or FixVTS on my system, but do have the AnyDVD and Nero so thought I'd try it.
With AnyDVD v6113(latest) running in the background, I put the disk in the drive and started Nero Recode2. Everything went just right all the way through to burning(6x chosen). I burnrd only the movie, but that is the way I always do it to keep the burn quality high. I tested the disk in two different players and worked fine in both. Also worked with Nero Showtime on the PC.
Can't remember who posted this, but thanks alot !!! Also to all who have helped in cracking this crap from Sony and Lionsgate. KUDOS!!!

My first try i got saw 3 Backed up this is a flawless way a little more advanced though
apps:
Dvd shrink 3.2
AnyDVD 6.1.1.2 Beta
DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0
dvdremakepro_3_14.exe (this program is self contained its a single exe file used for manually editing the disk moving files around ect)
1.cracked the protection with any dvd
2.riped it onto my computer with DVD Decrypter
3.this it the more advanced part went through the files with dvdremakepro and hide/disabled all the dummy blocks that i found were dummy blocks were Video title set 7 then 15-99 i also get rid if the stupid trailers on the disk that have nothing to do with the specific movie to make space thats how i new how to do this i do it on all my backups
4.then i compress with DVD Shrink 3.2 into a iso
5.bern with DVD Decrypter
any questions feel free to contact me

I updated it last summer. I've been trying to see if there's been any other updates, but I haven't found any that're reliable. Any suggestions? I have a NEC DVD RW 3520 AW drive. I just got the latest update for DVD FabDecrypter, it came out today. I'll try again. Thank You in advance

Hello everyone, who ever are saying that the new version of any dvd is not working correctly are right. Slysoft will tell you the workaround for it. You have to email them and tell them about your problem. You have to remove title sets that have no run time If you want a perfect dvd you need to reauthorize the dvd.

@newbies or those are interested/needed helps
C'mon folks, for sure SAW 3 UNRATED EDITION is a tough b.itch at first, but now the fun is over. Simply get DVDFab Decrypter 3070 or RipIt4Me 1660 and you'll have a "full disc" backup within minutes.
My basic DVDFab 3070 guide for SAW 3 UNRATED EDITION (US, Region 1).
Best of luck to all and happy burning!!

The problem isn't backing up the movie, that's not the problem. The problem is within the authoring of the dvd. You pop the movie in and the previews play. You hit menu and and it say operation not allowed. You can't get to the menu. You fast forward and then and only then the menu pops pops up. The movie plays fine, the menu is jacked up. I followed you dvdfab instructions same result. I also used AnyDVD with clonedvd2, same result. Anyone....What is wrong...I think protection is being embedded in the menus now.

No DVDFAB 3.0.7.0 does not rip saw 3 right, it takes out title set #1 which connects the main menu.

Try to process your already ripped VIDEO_TS.IFO file through the latest VobBlanker 2130B4, get it here http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=120140
Hmmm... not sure about you, but I modified my backup via VobBlanker 2130B4 (meaning I edited and blanked few unwanted junks; previews/trailers, tiny vts/cells and I even deleted few unwanted menus as well) and so far my "full disc" backup plays flawlessly on 3 of my DVD players.

Read the text above the Reply - Message box and look at supported tags. Use the img tag and put in the url for where you have the image stored on the web. Google for free image hosting if you don't have it included in your ISP package. ImageShack is a decent free image hosting site. (Use the direct link to the image, very bottom one on ImageShack.)
I'm thinking some people aren't even sure how to 'capture' images on their PC.
PRINT SCREEN is on your keyboard my friends.
Paste that into M$ Paint and save the file as a .jpg.
Simple as can be.
Viola.....and follow advice above and you're in there like Prego.

I had the same problem.. what I did was download the free copy of dvd fab. When I chose to copy it i selected main movie. I copied it to a file on the computer where I could find it from DVD Shrink.
Then reopen DVD Shrink..instead of select disk.. select from file (where you left saw 3)
Open that file which should say. MAIN MOVIE.
It will analyize.
Then back up..
Thank should do it.

Thank you for your help everyone. Alkohol, using VobBlanker did the trick. I finally made a flawless copy. The neat thing about VobBlanker is that it removes the unwanted cells and than it remaps the pointers so your menus work correctly and are not thrown in a loop.

Try runing dvdfab, output to a folder on the desktop and comeback and have clonedvd2 shrink and burn it,it works fine with the menu intack.
