A few weeks ago I asked if an XBox 360 emulator is in existance. Not the same way that you would have a SNES emu or something like that but rather there is a program which acts like a virtual drive so if you rent or buy XBox 360 games you can play them on your PC...
Does anyone know what this program is called and/or where you can get it?

Nor a chance, you need in theory a PC around 10 times as powerful as a game console to emulate it. The question would be is it already possible to emulate the original XBOX? Last time I checked only Dreamcast and PS2 were succesfully emulated.

Actually, ps2 wasn't very successful. It runs very slowly, and there are still many bugs in it.

Im not saying that you emulate the console!!! It's a program which you install and you put the XBox360 game into your DVD Drive and play it!
I'll get it in a few days and I'll post what its called and how well it works. According to my buddy it works really well and if you have an XBox360 controller for PC you practically have an XBox360, you're just limited to playing on your computer.

There is no such software, because your system would still have to EMULATE THE 360'S HARDWARE.
And unless you have one big monster of a pc, it wouldn't work anyway, even if there was such a thing.

Then are still talking about an emulator. Remember "Bleem"? It emulated PSX on a compatible PC, the same way you say this "software" emulates the 360. Well, it came nearly at the end of the PSX production run. Why? Because of you need a PC that is, in theory, around 10 times as powerful as a game console to emulate it.
And it will take years for a PC that's powerful enough to emulate the 360 to arrive at your local CompUsa. Don't loose hope, though. When you start seeing PC's with CPU's of over 30 GHz and over 5 GB of super fast RAM, ask again.

I doubt you need a PC that is 10 times "stronger" than the console to run the consoles games on the PC. First of all, todays average PC is just as good as XBox 360 or PS3... stop laughing, its true, if you have a GeForce 6600 or better then your graphics are gonna be just as good.
Secondly, Microsoft makes XBox360 therefore Im sure there is some kind of relationship to there PC software/hardware, its not like back in the day when all we could emulate was SNES or Playstation or other Sega.
I'll get the program next week and Ill prove all you non-believers wrong. Cheers.

that video is totaly fake, you can seriously see that it has IGN in the bottom right corner, its so stupid, you should know better, and btw, someone told me on live once that they had an emulator, its not true man, NO PC can run it, they cant even run PS2 emulators, never the less a clean running of the original xbox, so a 360 is IMPOSSIBLE!

Why do you guys think xbox1 games are hard for the 360 to emulate? Because it was designed for a different architecture (msp)
A PC would have to be able to emulate the exact bandwidth of every single pipeline in order to emulate a 360. Some things, a PC can't do very well. Emulating something totally different that's almost as powerful as what your trying to emulate it on isn't going to work.

Azrea1, edit your sig to conform to forum specs ASAP.
2. An image-only signature should be less than 50kb in size, and be at most 500 pixels wide and 200 pixels tall.
4. If you want to use both text and image in your signature the image should not be more than 500 pixels wide and 100 pixels tall, and you can use up to three lines of text.

its not possible, no pc can run an xbox 360 game, trust me, just google it, if there is a program, it will be available, and its not so you dont have to worry about it happening, the guy is just getting played...
*edit* after searching around on torrent sites, i found this so called "emulator"- its total crap, it cant run a single game, wont even open any files

Why would you need a huge file to emulate these games???, it pretty much works the same way as downloading a driver to use your xbox360 controller on your pc...
this is a driver that lets you play your MICROSOFT XBox 360 on your MICROSOFT Windows PC. You most likely already have most of the needed components, a DVD drive, a hard drive, an OS.

cropa, the OS used in the Xbox 360 isn't windows XP/Vista or anything like that, and a driver for a controller is much different from actually running a game, but tell ya what slim, i'll just wait the week for u to come up w/ nothing.
