i'll be honest, for the 4 wiis i've done with the wiikey, i've had no probs, cept for ikaruga, but i think that is audio streaming bug which if i'm not mistaken will be fixed soon, but other than that it's a top notch chip......

As it states on the site where you clicked add to cart:
WE HAVE LOCAL INSTALLERS IN MOST COUNTRIES SO YOU WILL NOT HAVE YOUR CONSOLE CROSS ANY BORDERS!
YOU WILL BE CONTACTED VIA EMAIL WITHIN 6 - 72 BUSINESS HOURS(usually less) AFTER ORDERING WITH OUR CLOSEST INSTALL LOCATIONS ADDRESS AND SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS.
You should receive your email with instructions shortly, if not already.

Just a quick question and I dunno if it's been asked (hope it hasn't) but can a Japanese Wii modded with a Wiikey play English gamecube games or just Japanese gamecube games.

I have a similar question to Fiddyuan. The only place online I've seen a Wii for the original price is at superufo.com, but it is the Japanese console. Will I be able to change the menus, etc to English and play all regions Wii and GC games (with a modchip obviously)?

You can play some NTSC-J (japan) games on your modded Wii's but I do not think you can change your menu's.

Everyone with an official WIIKEY prepare for a new update coming this week, most clones will not be able to be updated.
There will be some neat new features. Stay Tuned

What will happen if you try to update a Wii with the Wiikey update if it's a clone? And btw, is there a way to tell if my Wii has a real Wiikey or a clone other than the sticker?

But i'll wait and see ;)

i highly doubt that they won't accept the upgrade, and i also highly doubt that the update will be out this week or any time soon. they have been saying there going to release a new update for some time now. i beleive it's been a few months, anyway who cares if it doesn't all i want it to do is play cheap backups which is what most people want and it will always do that with the first update. just a thought

It will be out and as I said 95% of the clones will not take the update.
just wait, if its not out in the next week and a half heckle me all you want :)
Also some backups have issues playing, this update should resolve that...

Sorry if this question has already been asked but I recently got a chip installed by a third party and was just wondering is there anyway to find out what chip it is?
Also I tried searching for what this region override option is and how you can activate it. If anyone can shed some light on this issue for me, thanks.
