Do you have recovery files installed? If not go into recovery mode by turning off ur psp completely. Turn it back on and hold R trigger until getting to the recovery screen, go to configuration and then enable hide corrupted icons.

I had version 3.03 OE-A2, and I wanted to upgrade to 3.10 OE-A. I flashed it using the 310OEFLASHER method and now the PSP is bricked (the green light turns on, but after five seconds, it turns off.) I tried the recovery method posted in the beginning of this thread (the Winstaller one), but I can't access the Recovery Module. I think the problem may have been caused by my new fake 2 GB Sandisk memory stick. Two questions, what can I do, and what do you think could have casued my PSP to act like that?

Also, I forgot to mention that I tried to do the recovery with my friend's REAL 1 GB Lexar Memory Stick Duo in my PSP.

when you restart your PSP you do hold the R button? thats the right toggle button. Second if you make it to the recovery screen you should see right there Run Program from PSP\GAME\RECOVERY
if that does not work then it might be because you dont have the redcovery files on your memory stick.
OPen up the memory stick on a computer or anohter PSP and check
It should be like so.
X:\PSP\GAME\RECOVERY
then inside RECOVERY you should see about 5 files there.
If you dont then you need the recovery files. here is a link
http://rapidshare.com/files/14834441/302_OE-A_B___Recovery.rar
now just extract that on your PC somewhere then look for the Folder called RECOVERY put that on your memory stick at X:\PSP\GAME hope this helps let us know

Yes, when I restart the PSP I hold the "R Button," but it still does the thing where the light turns green and then turns off. Also, the recovery files ARE on the PSP from the Winstaller posted at the beginning of the thread. I checked by putting the memory stick in my memory card reader. Anything else?

first off the recovery option always shows whether or not there is files in it or not. i dont know if this will help but recovery screen messed up when going into configuration, i deleted the config.se files on flash1:\ and all was well after that.
EDIT:
I just read ur first post, ur PSP is completely bricked no getting it back. What did you do before this happened?

When I flashed it from 3.03 OE-A2 to 3.10 OE-A, I did everything right. At the end, it told me to restart my PSP. When I did that, it was bricked and I was unable to go to the Recovery Module. Why do you think this happened?

Hmm are you sure it was the right eboot? Something happened when creating the data.dxar file, are you sure you used good 1.5 and 3.03 update files? Anyhow your psp is not a partial brick, it's a complete brick and there is no getting it back unless you want to buy a new motherboard.

u can play ISOs on that firmware. format the memory stick and the folder will be created for you. dont mod 3.10 OE-A/A2 tho, alot of the mods will cause your psp to partially brick.
