yes that is an iso. you extracted it, that's why you have the folders. the one large WinRAR file was the ISO.

but there is no file after the extraction that has a .iso extension. so you mean I need to put the folder after the extraction (containing PSP_GAME folder & UMD_DATA.BIN) under ISO folder and thats's it?

Hi again. I want to know summat about this. Im guessing that the files are written to the memory card, so tat means that if you take out the memory card (with the 3.03 c firm ware) out, then the psp goes back to being a 1.5? could some one confirm this please. Im askin this cos i have 2 memory cards, and i want to smack different games on both, and switch between the two. can this be done? Could people posts replys ? Thank in advance...

no it's flashed over the original psp firmware. and even if it was emulated it wouldn't revert back.

Hmm. This poses a massive problem now. What are the chances that this will actually Brick me psp, cos i want to make sure. And if it does jus write over the flash software, then it must be connected the psp musn't it? Im asking this cos i got a reply saying i could jus use a memory stick duo reader.

also if i install the 3.10 a firmware, can i use the built in recovery menu (?) to unbrick my psp if something happens. Im only asking cos im thick :]. Thanx in advance

What does the recovery program actuall do...does it unbrick ur psp, or does it remove this custom firmware...again im sorry if i sound dumd and noobish, but its all a learning experiance right? Thanx again!

Ok the firmware is called custom for a reason. Recovery option lets u flash back to 1.50, and any of the OE's that had a data.dxar file (3.03 OE-C, 3.10 OE-A). U can play homebrew. Dont need devhook it can load iso's from the XMB. Small chances of bricking, but there's always a chance. Search for this info next time.

dont give out screen names here. this isn't a thread for downgrading, lucky for you I know about it. Anyhow what happened is you didn't read the readme and didn't pay attention to instructions. This is what happens when you dont take the time to read for a few minutes, and rush into things. It is completely bricked, you were downgrading to 1.5 so there is no recovery option anywhere. Only reasonable way to get it back is buy a motherboard (80+ dollars).

@fatkid
because its against the rules
and no......if there was i would of told you

@janlord
I know this is the winstaller thread but the information you're asking for could of been found on this site, from downloadpackages, or google. Don't need to format card, would afterwards tho. Can still play ISO, don't need devhook. ISO's show up in the XMB now and go in the same place yourpsp:\PSP\GAME

i dont know ask the mods.

@janlord
i made this installer to make it "easy". You are making it extremely difficult for yourself. Just run the installer and READ IT.
