Everything is there. You dont need any extra files.

Doesnt expecting the unexpected make the unexpected expected and therefore mean youre expecting the expected which was the unexpected until you expected it?

it worked hexitnow!!!!!!!!! 3.03 OE-C, all games playing okay! ha ha ha! Thank you everybody on this forum for helping me. I have easy question, i hope somebody can answer;

-can you enable the "disable no-umd" option to actually play ISOs without a umd inside? Why are some people saying to disable it, perhaps some games don't work without this?

-is the 1.5 recovery winstaller to switch the psp BACK to ver 1.5? So you can run it straight off 3.03 OE-C, as this is the "downgrader"?

in the future when new custom firmwares come out (3.10 OE-A) for example, is it necessary to go back to 1.5 or can you do 3.03 OE-C>3.10 oe-a?

thank you so much!

Sometimes games wont play with the "no umd" option on.
The recovery can go back to 1.5 but it can also be used to reinstall the current firmware and possibly(not sure) an upgrade to a higher OE firmware(unless it says it needs a clean install from 1.5).

thanks WierdName, that's what I thought... if you have 3.03oec and you wanted 3.10oea, do you use the recovery winstaller to upgrade or can you use the 3.10 winstaller and run it directly?

Ive read a lot of posts, and im a little puzzled,On page 5 Highkick said he had version 302, you said he needed gta liberty city stories, and on page 4 kazangwa said he had 3.02 oe-b you said that would be fine, That threw me a bit, my psp software says 3.02 OE-B, Can i just use the installer you supplied, Or do i need to downgrade first, I do have a copy of GTA Liberty stories, Can you please advise, THANKYOU

the GTA thing is only for the official firmware. You have OE, not the official.

you do not need to go back to a 1.5 psp to update to 3.10oea.(you can update from 3.03oec to 3.10oea)

thanks!!

-do you know the steps to deactivate the security feature in recovery menu before updating "OE" firmwares? I really don't want to mess up those settings.

There is not steps to deactivate the security feature. All you need to do is run the 3.10 OE winstaller and update.

I tried it and it installed well and running well.. except one think i am uncertain what error might it be.

When i try to run a game which runs, saves, and loads previously in Devhook 0.46 it prompts me data corrupt as soon as i try to save or load a save game.

Could you give me some assistance?

@juan2320 are you sure? I was reading qj, and somebody posted about "OE" - "In addition, Dark_Alex built in a security measure in which you can't update the PSP unless you go into recovery mode and deactivate the feature. You'll be fine." Maybe that is only when somebody tries to update using official firmware.

I think that is a feature that will not let an official firmware update launch, Like you said. So you dont accidentally brick your PSP by writing the official firmware over the OE firmware.

I don't understand it, cuz this was all working this morning when I tried it all out for the first time under the same circumstances...ie first with Fastloader and then on 3.03OE-C. Please Help Hex...waiting on a response from ya.
Fastloader is not the right loader, it was meant for older games. Custom firmware or devhook will be your best bet. U just have to make sure to have a UMD in and No-UMD Disabled.
Hi Hex,

Thanx for responding back to me earlier. Before I got a chance to try what you had written, you got your recovery installer link working again and I got back to 1.50 with that finally. Now GTA:LCS was still not working so then I figured I would try to upgrade to 3.03OE-C again which I did and still no luck. I was getting frustrated so I started tweaking around in the recovery menu with different options and randomly changing them. I think after the second or third random tweak of options, GTA:LCS started working. Don't know which option is was or what. But it did. I then tried other ISO's (Lumines II, NHL'07, Virtua Tennis) and they all worked fine...and I was happy until today...I tried Ratchet and Clank: Size Does Matter and I ended up having the same problem as GTA:LCS was having which is that it would start and then just black screen on me. The other ISOs continue to be working fine. Now before I rush in to the Recovery Menu and start tweaking random things, I thought I would ask you whats going on here and was hoping you could pin point the exact area in the options menu that is being affected or needs to be changed. Cuz god knows once I start tweaking random things I'm bound to screw something up. Thanx again for taking the time out to help and your awesome at this stuff you do and your patience with me and the people here on this site is amazing.

as far as i have read you have to change the cpu speed to be able to play Ratchet and Clank: Ive looked in to changing it whilst im useing 3.02 OE-B, By holding right trigger and going in to settings, Scroll down the settings to cpu speed > And get Recovery mode cpu speed No yet, and can't get any further, So i assume i cant change the cpu speed, Thats why i asked if updating to 3.03 OE-C Will i then be able to change it,

There are two speeds I can change one is the XMB speed and the other is UMD/ISO do you know which of the two cpu speeds i need to change cuz both of those options are under the cpu speed menu.

UMD/ISO is the speed for when you load a UMD or ISO. XMB is for in the XMB(cross menu bar, a.k.a. home).

Hi Hex, I am running 3.03OE-C without any problems. I know what features 3.10OE-A brings to the table. The only reason why I would update is to have the latest Sony firmware. But at the same time when things work fine, don't break it right? I know the 3.10 OE-A is supposed to be a full installer. But by using your winstaller I can upgrade straight from 3.03OE-C?
