Quote: [quote]I heard there was a new update for 3.03 OE-C firmware is this true. Just wondering cause some of my games (Dungeon Seige) freeze
Quote: well i dont know about that, but there is new firmware on psp-hacks, that combine 3.03 oec and 3.10 oea, any one try that? also i have the same problem with Dungeon Seige, it freezes some time. any solution for game freezes? (do i turn the power off? (power is full charger) then restart the game?
I just fully power down the system by holding the power button up for 10 seconds. I havent had the freezing since I passed that level where you have to collect the food for the villager in the burnt farm area. Maybe it's just in that area but I'm saving a lot so I don't have to back track too much.

when you attach your psp to the computer you need to put the iso folder in the verry first area you can. If you use a card reader double click on the memory card then put the iso folder there

u dont even need to create the ISO folder, if u format the memory stick after flashing custom firmware it will create all the necessary folders for you.

lemme guess........1 of 2 things:
1.) You dont have a UMD in.
2.) You have no-umd enabled.

ok seeing that the last post is what im really curious about...
im new to the psp scene(3 days).
ive flashed mine successfully to 3.03 oe-c
being a newb, heres my question in relation to the last post
do i need to have a UMD in the drive even if im on 3.03 oe-c?
its my understanding that some games, even if you enable "no umd" in recovery still needs a umd?
i have a few isos, some of them work flawlessly some hang after the PSP logo when i start them. i noticed that if i disable "no umd" these games give me an error(something like "cant start...). and if i enable "no umd" it just hangs at the psp logo after i start it. theres also a chance that its a bad iso/cso(unlikely tho, comes from a reputable ripper).
will having a umd in drive make a difference? i currently dont own a umd as i have my psp for just 3 days.

"people" are funny. To get the ones working that arent disable no umd, put a umd game in, then try to boot the game

Hello everyone I'm new to these boards and I got my psp a while ago it had 2.71 fw and was a TA-082. Well I have some sad news I downgraded to 1.5 and then I tried to upgrade to 3.10 oe-a using the winstaller, after I ran the oe update on my psp it froze after it flashed the memory stick. So I turned it off and now my psp will turn on for a few seconds, but the screen will just stay black. I'm going to return it today, but maybe you guys can help me so I dont have to. Its very most likely bricked I know but perhaps someone can save my poor psp! Please!

if u know for sure its a rar and not an ISO (iso have some icon when using WinRAR), then right click and hit extract.

i think u didnt extract properly.also make sure just the .iso file(if its there) or the .rar file is in the ISO folder.i mean G:\ISO\(your .iso should be here) and not G:\ISO\(game folder)\(your .iso)
good luck

Hi, uh my PSP has the 3.03 OE-A firmware. When upgrading it to 3.03 OE-C, is there anything special I have to do first? Like downgrading it to 1.50 (I don't know how to downgrade too btw) or something else?

Sorry for the double post, but I couldn't find an edit button. >.< Um, while browsing through the earlier pages, I noticed you telling someone to change to a 1.5 kernel or something? I booted up my recovery thingy, and it says "Game folder homebrew (currently:3.03 Kernel)"
Do I have to change to the 1.5 kernel, or do I just run the Winstaller from my computer? Thanks in advance!
