so once you done installing you just need to put an iso file in the root of ur memorystick and just place ur games in there?

Hey,
I have a psp at firmware 1.5. Im also using devhook .46 which emulates upto firware version 2.71. Up to now i've just been using my psp to play gta:vcs.But now i want to play Metal Gear Solid:portable ops.I've downloaded the 3.03 OE-C winstaller.Whats the best option for me to take???Also do i need to remove devhook from my memory stick (or format my memory stick) before upgrading...

hey hex,i was using fw 1.5,downloaded your winstaller and intalled it,works fine and i can play games,im jus alil confused about all this game150 folders etc.i didnt do all dat yet i can still play all my games(part from psx games which i place straight in the game folder) straight from my iso folder. also just wanted to know how u get that blue background you have on ur psp
please help

Hi! Hex, I've recently upgraded from 2.71 SE-C to 3.03 OE-C - Follow all the instruction and walah! i did have 3.03 OE-C! But i do have problem in some .CSO games (Fight Night Round 3, GTA LCS, NBA Live 2007) it do loads up but after asking me about autosave it hangs up / freeze and i have to removed the battery (is it ok to removed the battery?) or i will wait forever. but the other .CSO games (Dragon ball, Miami Vice) works fine. Can anyone help me on this? Do i need to downgrade first(2.71 - 1.50 - 3.03) or can i install again 3.03 OE-C? also is there any guide on how to install popstation (3.03)?
PSP Life --> 1.5 -> 2.71 SE-C -> 3.03 OE-C

after installing the custom firmware, what else can you do that will risk your psp for a chance of a brick?

anything that touches flash is a potential risk for bricking, most cases its a partial brick which can be re-flashed via recovery mode.

i hav 2 quick questions...if i install this firmware will i get the things of 3.03 and 1.5 together and the ability to mod my main menu (xmb) and if i am not satisfied will I be able to upgrade back to 3.10 oe-a straight from this? and i hav a 1.50 psp can i got straight to 3.03 oe-c?

Hey Hex, I just got a used psp a few weeks ago and I want to update from ver 1.52. I also have 2.50 system software. Can I just install the 3.03-EC? Also does this upload also for the full res video? Thanks!

1.) yes if u dont like 3.03 OE-C you can go to straight to 3.10 OE-A.
2.) You can go straight from 1.50 to 3.03 OE-C

Are you at 1.52 or 2.50. If at 1.52 upgrade to 2.00 easiest, safest downgrade. 2.50 you'll want to upgrade to 2.71. Once at 1.5 or another custom firmware u can install 3.03 Oe-C. Full res-video? Dont know what u mean there but I have no video camera, if you wanna send me one I'll record ya a video :D

Just clarification.
Using the winstaller from 1.50 to 3.03 OE-C makes it as if it went through all of the previous 3.02 OE - 3.03 OE right?

3.03 OE-C has to be freshly installed, e.g. it formats flash0 and installs all new flash files.

Thanks ive installed that, But the psp reads the roms as read only,the emulator does seem to show up ok, Ive tried the roms in zip format and also unpacked get the same response, i know (Daedalus R9) Is the newest one for the psp, If anyone gets any roms working in (Daedalus R9) please let us know, How, Ive tested the roms on my pc emulator and they work ok

Hey guys, Im really having serious difficulty downloading the files from this SendSpace, it keeps giving me errors and saying download limit has reached, can someone pls help to upload the file somewhere else so that helpless souls like me can try Hex's creation...thanx, and is there any difference from the Dark Alex 3.03 OE-C upgrader??

I have been following all the guides by Hexitnow and others about modding my psp and it has been all good until now. i have 3.03 oe-c and have been changing the themes. I tried to put the ultimate black xmb from here and when i was moving everything it says not enough space on the drive so i cancelled and put the original theme back on but now my usb doesnt work! when i click usb connection it just crashes and turns off! i really need help so any would be greatly appreciated
