Nnoob ? here, any help much thanks. I upgraded my sons psp to 2.80 from 2.71. would like to go to version i can run backup games on. can i downgrade to 1.50?

yea u can downgrade to 1.5, easiest way is to do it from 3.03 (dont go any higher!!) with a copy of GTA liberty city stories UNPATCHED, there should be some detailed forums on how to do it

one more ?. on my psp i have 2.71 SE-c and a 4g memory. I can download movies fine but cant seem to get games to work. u see i had a kid do the install and he put the files on the 32mb memory inwhich some how i lost and then formated the memory card. what arew my options? thanks for the quick response to last ?

hi agaian all just wonderin whats the best out of all these oe f/w 3.03oe ,3.10oe ,3.30oe or 3.40oe and whats all the differance ,i only need it to play my umd games and a few what ive had backed up to put on my mem stick for easy use wen i go away saves takin all my umds with me ,also wen i get a umd that needs higher than my 3.03oe what do i do use devhook 52 or can i just upgrade to any oe firmware straight away like i did frm 1.5 or do i need to move files ect

i think the best for doing that stuff reliably is 3.03 oe-c. no probs with it yet.

Hex, When can we expect a 3.30 or 3.40 WinInstaller. I know i can install it without your most excellent product, but would rather wait for your Installer.

Can anybody help me? I'm a noob to this stuff. i bought my psp for 75.00 it had firmware 2.71. I had a kid mod it so i could put my games on it when traveling, or dmv, or doctors ect. anyway it came back with 2.71 SE-C. and he told me to get a 4g memory witch i did. Then somehow between transfering from 32m to 4g and a format i lost files. just now downgraded to 1.5. seems to go good. but under memory stick there is a update ver X,YZ do i run this?Ive read alot starting to think im computer stupid

hi all on oe fw isnt it great ,ave goy a question 4 all of u whats the best cpu speed to have it set on, defult or a customm 1i tried outrun on 333 but it froze now on 266 in iso but defult in xmb thanks in advance

a wininstaller has been released, tested and working. by team reign. good stuff. u can get 1 for 3.30oe or 3.40oe, i tested the 3.40oe one on my 1.5 TA-082 PSP.

sk8flawzz if CRC6569 has 2.80 psp the 2.80 downgrader is better then the 3.03 one.(no GTA UMD needed for 2.80)

will3.20oe play allmy iso and cso games as thats all i do with psp is play games not worried abou custom stuf just games ,can i just go straight to 3.30oe or 3.40oe frm 3.03oe are they just as good as 303oe thanks ,ady

hi all im on 303oe used easy install 2 get it frm 1.5
my question is does it have the 1.5 recovery in it already or do i have 2 download it frm the 1st page if it is there in recovery mode where is it how do u access it i dont want to go back or any think im just wondering ive done 2 psp now , now im goin 2 do 2 of my mates an if somethink went wrong i just wanted to no where 1.5 recovery is thats all ,also how do i put it to psp the same as i put 303oe ?thanks ,ady

Hey a somewhat noob I guess in need of some help. I've made it to 3.03oe-c without a hitch and plan on doing everything with it but I'm caught up because psx games won't play. I've installed it in psp/game they is an Eboot.pbp and key.bin in the folder. the two I have tried have been downloaded games (faster than finding my games in my stash). Everything appears to work fine but when the game launches it stops and says this game cannot be played and then an error number. I just bought a 4gig card for psx games. do I have to format it a certain way.
All other homebrew so far works great.

hi hex i tryed ur winstaller for version 1.5 from 3.03oe-c and i press the thing on the recovery menu and it just doesnt work the screen just goes off cos i have a partial brick u see plzzzz help if u can ur ace or is there any other way to install 3.03oe-c

WOO HOO I REALISED IT WAS COS OF FLASH0 AND I WAS Messing with gameboots ages ago so i backed up flash0 so this morning i replaced all of the files and woohooo then i used the winstaller to install 3.03oe-c again so taht my iso files would show up thanks hex so so easy

adyau edit your post. yes you can just go straight to 3.30oe or 3.40oe.
and you need the 2 installers for the 1.5 recovery.
stentor is the psx game in a folder.(the Eboot.pbp and key.bin)
try some other games(and psx games work better in newer FW's)

Do you even know what kernel means?? I have mine set to 1.5 for homebrew reasons and can play all iso's.....why do you act like that is abnormal?

wat exactly is the kernel?i figured it was just the firmware to 'emulate' in that game150 folder which allowed homebrew to run, which made sense to me as to why iso's worked since those are in a diff folder (ISO) and have other settings to work, iono haha
has an official winstaller been released for 3.40OE-A?
