Using Shrink to burn a DL disk? What am i doing wrong?

I guess it doesn't matter, but from the photo you'd left the burn speed for ImgBurn at 4X and the analysis showed the supported burn speed was 2.4X. It's not going to go any faster than it's going to go.
When you used RipIt4Me, did you use the 1-Click or Wizard mode, what rip mode did you use, and did you change any of the settings in Preferences?
A lot of people try using the ISO rip mode in RipIt4Me if they're going to use ImgBurn or one of the programs that only burns in ISO format. Not a good idea with heavy copy protection. It is best to rip in any mode other than ISO and leave all the FixVTS options checked. Leave the Shrink option on for the analysis. There's a good reason to open the files in Shrink. The quick analysis is a good compliance test. Besides transcoding with Shrink, that's one of the reasons for opening with Shrink, even if not using Shrink for transcoding. Close Shrink and open the files in ImgBurn. Use Build in ImgBurn to create your ISO to burn. Those are the successful steps for use with RipIt4Me and ImgBurn to burn DL. Other people have been doing this and I don't see why there should be a problem here.

I didn't notice the question before. It's no. With heavy copy protection use any of the file modes, not ISO. Leave all FixVTS options checked. Use 1-Click. When through ripping files to the HDD open the files with Build in ImgBurn. Create the ISO and burn.

For DL all you need is a clean rip that is DVD compliant and use ImgBurn. Since it's DL and no space needs saving, just rip with RipIt4Me with Full DVD option in Rip Mode, and using the 1-Click mode. When the files open in Shrink, close Shrink and use the files from the hard drive in ImgBurn. Use Build mode and use Device in Output.

Thanks PacMan much appreciated. Do I need DVD Decrypter for Rit4Me to Work? Do I also need DVD Shrink? Considering I'm not going to close it and use ImgBurn

RipIt4Me is a macro. For it to be set up and work properly you need to follow directions. DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink need to be installed before installing RipIt4Me. Decrypter does the decryption and ripping and Shrink does a compliance test. As mentioned, once the files are opened in Shrink, you have the option to go ahead and use Shrink or close it and use the files from the hard drive in another program. If burning DL, you would close Shrink and open the files in ImgBurn or whatever program you choose.

Honestly I didnt. I decided to wait on the backup and tackled some other stuff. I think the info above3 by Pacman from 02/23/07 sounds like it has a few other steps that i may have not taken. I will be retrying this soon and posting back.

Other than covering in detail what's going on, it would be hard to be more simple. The short description is rip the files and burn with ImgBurn.

For the sake of the thread, you need to look at what point I say ISO. To date I've yet to use the ISO in Rip Mode with RipIt4Me when doing the newer movies with ARccOS. ISO as the rip mode in RipIt4Me, when the newer copy protection is involved, won't allow the program access to the individual files to properly process. RI4M has to access the files for cleanup and to use the FixVTS code to process for compliance. That can only be done in one of the file modes.
Once the files have been ripped and made compliant, the user can then use ISO or not depending on the software and user preference. Both Shrink and ImgBurn have the capability to create an ISO for burning. My favorite encoding setup, Rebuilder, can build ISO as well. Except for using burner programs capable of only using the ISO format, I don't see the need for ISO except in a few limited circumstances.
For most of the pre-ARccOS movies it's no problem to rip in the ISO mode and skip directly to transcoding. The latest RI4M beta shows skip to DVD Shrink for unprotected (rather little protection) DVDs, making it easier to spot which DVDs are which as far as protection goes. If you are going to burn to DL with ImgBurn and get that cue, then it's safe to go ahead and rip in ISO (all in the 1-Click window). It saves a few minutes processing later if planning to burn DL with ImgBurn.
The guide BBmayo gave me credit for relied heavily on his work as well. Follow our guide and you won't go wrong. ISO is there and has it's use, just not currently for the heavily protected releases. In short ISO with RipIt4Me is only good for the lesser protected releases (non-ARccOS).

I'm not saying it's the problem, but Matshita drives are problem prone. All you need to do is run a google on them to see that. Complaints are abnormally high. Normally a power calibration error points to the drive anyway.
