I've been using DVD Shrink with Nero for a while but then I kept getting errors & seemed to be wasting alot of discs - http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_jump.cfm/476923/2881178-605798 so I then downloaded clonedvd2 & AnyDVD to try them (read great reports) but kept getting bad media error - it does work but am wasting 2/3 discs per flik. Reading threads bout this error one of them said to delete Nero & then it will work so I did.. Didnt work. & now I dont have Nero. Installed Nero 6.6.1.4 - cant remember which 1 I had b4. Starting new threads on the same problem is called double posting. It wastes time and effort and mods frown on the practice.
Bowler is right, you're dealing with a known problem version of Nero 6. Some of the links are bad in the thread pointed out, but the topical material is to the point. Check with Gwendolyn or someone in the Nero forum for the a download of Nero 6.6.0.18.
BTW, the log on the other thread was a Nero 7 and with a file 6.3.1.4 in it, it appears you may be getting some corrupted files. Why don't you use the Nero cleaner tool to clean out all the Nero files and download the latest Nero 7 trial to see how that works. Remember to also run a reg cleaner and reboot before doing the clean install.
Use the free DVD Identifier to ID your media and tell us the brand and manufacturer. We'd be interested in those facts.
Well after reading your other post it seems your drive is not recognizing your media. Your latest firmware is Ver 102C and Dell has had several updates since then they are now on 203D I would recommend you update the drives firmware you can get it here http://liggydee.cdfreaks.com/page/en/NEC-ND-6650A/ or go to Dells site and get the update there.
