psp 3.11 downgrader information

I've read every page of this thread and my vote is to keep it open. I enjoy reading it. My question is, in the opinion of anyone who cares to answer: if it turns out that there will be no 3.11 downgrader, do you think that there will be a 3.30 downgrader or are all of us noobs who upgraded really screwed? I bought my PSP new at Walmart and I don't think Gamestop would just let me walk in and swap it for a used one.
I've been customizing the heck out of my future psp while I wait. I have over 1gb of games, custom icons and waves, and soon I might try to find custom gameboots and cold boot screens.

I was just wondering, do any of you guys know what firmware is a PSP if i buy it brand new from the store? I am planning to buy a PSP CORE PACK($170) at Wal-Mart in California and I was wondering what firmware will it be? Do any of you guys know?

how are we supposed to know what the firmware would be? there are so many differnet firmwares it could be...
although i think u might be able to tell by the bottom of the box, there's a guide here somewhere on afterdawn, but idk which one

people, depend on urselves, what if Darkalex died, u will not be able to downgrade again? get a grip and try hacking it urself, it might be easier for u to understand the PSP better.

What are you saying that you are an expert than??? Are you trying to say you can hack the PSP. If you can then release something out for us to prove it.

not to sure if its 3.30 on the brand new psps coming out of the box....latest i saw on a brand new psp was 2.5, but thats a "last gen" psp then; i guess...
idk, i dont think that you will find a psp with a 3.30 update on it...perhaps 150-280.

yea you depend on them too so you shouldnt tell us we should make our own downraders and by he way unlike DA we wouldnt get no donations. So we would have to spend more and more money buying stuff and new psp if they brick.

Look under the PSP motherboard compatibilty guide, in there it explains how to find out how to tell what FW your buying. It has from FW 1.50 to FW 2.81

It depends on the country and the pack. Different countries presents different firmwares.

I got mine to Xmas this last tiem around, US, 3.03. but it was the game pac with 1game, 1 movie and 1gig Stick =\

i got mine at christmas too, a psp 1001 at 1.50....and that wasnt to hard to find...where i use to live, theyre lying in the streets shattered, cause kids are pissed that they have sony fw, and cant get it off...i wouldnt go so far as to say that all new ones come out like that; when im sure there is a massive surplus of 1.5 1001 psps out there....wouldnt want to discourage those that still want homebrew..

when u have emulater lets say 3.03oe what will happen when u try to upgrade will it brick the psp?
