Registry, Files from HDD, burn with on the fly decryption, all 3 methods work with one burner. It just depends on when you try to set the settings. Glad to see you got it done.

I did some more research and found that you may only be able to do 2 of the 3 methods. Depending on the drive, the speed may or may not be set properly with a factory disc in the burner on a single drive system. My Plextor gives me the full range of settings as I have pictured. That's the one I use for burning all the time. I started the initial backup with another drive and found it would only set to default settings (Max, 1.0X, 2.0X, and 2.4X). So, it appears not to be Shrink limiting the setting but the drive. Naturally you can do the setting with a recordable DVD when recording from the HDD or using regedit (as you did). Shame to have to go into the registry just to set burn speed. So, we were both right, I could and you couldn't.
