I wanna backup a dvd, i use DVD Shrink and dvd decryptor. With Shrink i get this error message when i try to open the disk.
"DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue.
Invalid DVD Navigation structure."
What can I do about that?
____________________________________________________________________
I then try using Ripit4me first, but then I get this message when It tries to open DVD Shrink
"DVD Shrink encountered and error and cannot continue.
Invalid Filename
The System Cannot find the file specified"
How can i fix that?
i dont know what file its trying to find to help it.
___________________________________________________________________
Next I try using DVD Decryptor even though it doesnt compress the movie so I need to use dual layer dvds. It begins to make the iso image but then i get this error message @ around 8%
"I/O Error!
Device:[3:1:0] SONY DVD RW DRU-710A BY03 (F:) (ATA)
Scisistatus: 0x02
Interpretation: Check Condition
CDB: 28 00 00 05 3C 24 00 00 01 00
Interpretation: Read(10)-Secotor: 343076
Sense Area: 70 00 03 00 00 00 00 0A 00 00 00 00 11 05 00 00 00 00
Interpretation: L-EC Uncorrectable Error"
Its a Dual layer drive, in dma mode, with agressive settings in dvd decryptor. How can I fix this issue with decryptor?
Overall I just wanna copy the movies I buy cuz my nephews scratch them up. can you please help me solve these issues, preferebly allowing me to use shrink.
Thanks in advance. if one of u really fixes this good id be happy to send u a jackson through paypal or somethin.thanks

Like rdmercer1 I'm curious as to which movie is causing the problem. I've yet to run into a release that RipIt4me won't do. If you're interested in a good shrink package that does it all along with instructions, use bbmayo's guide and the software that's linked to in the guide. The Shrink is revised to support ImgBurn. All software needed is free.

also rip in file mode, with DVD Decrypter, rather than builing an iso, also try re authur in DVD Shrink and select main movie only, their are dummy blocks on your dvd that is why you are getting those errors, try the above and im sure that will sort your problem:)

For the umpteenth time:
DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter are obsolete when it comes to processing the new copy protections. The new program RipIt4Me can be used with those two programs to bring the decryption and processing up to date. I've done most of the new releases, including Saw 3 and Casino Royale, in full DVD without errors. Some people recommend DVDFab Decrypter. It's also good, but sometimes requires additional compliance processing (which is included with the RipIt4Me).
I agree with abcd that the DVDs should be ripped with a better decryption set up . Here's a guide and use the software included.
bbmayo's RI4M guide:

The revised Shrink version supports ImgBurn. Completely free so backing up only costs the price of a DVD recordable. That way the nephews can have plenty of movies to watch.

I suggest you stick with your original thread dude...this is getting ugly quick.
EDIT: Have you even looked at the guides posted by these kind people who are trying to help you? DVDFab Decrypter and Ripit4me are proven to have no issues with this title. Crossposting doesn't help anyone and just confuses the people who are trying to help you along with yourself.

I agree with you on the RipIt4Me and others. maha5305 should pay attention to the posts since asking for help. bbmayo even took the time to put together a guide using freeware so people wouldn't have to pay to do their backups and have an easier time doing it.
If a bad disc is suspected scan it to see.

I'm thinking about starting a home service. They can fly me in, 1st class of course. They can save some money if they have a nice pad. Otherwise they'll need to pay housing, food, and brew expenses, plus any miscellaneous costs. Similar to Geek Squad only more upscale and expensive. LOL

You mean the thingys to start the bentley to haul off the expensive electronics. I'll have a hard time doing it, but I'll have to sell them on letting me set up the HDTV, and home stereo to the PC. Work to be done at home. I'll even fix the numbers on the Bentley for them. :)
