Some of my backups using DVDShrink are going awry for some reason. Somewhere during the burn it is stopping and throwing an error. It always says that the files are in the temp folder and are ready to burn. In there i have all of the VTS files it created. I tried to find an error log that it created but had no luck. It would be best if I could fix the problem in Shrink so that it would not ruin anymore blank DVDs, but if not is it possible to burn the backup with Nero 7 Essentials from this assortment of files? If anyone knows where I can find more infomation or a log of the error I am getting I would be happy to post it.

Thank you

Do you have destination set correctly in shrink. Do you have it set to burn files with Nero and the correct DVD drive. You may just have it set to create HDD Video_TS folder. Nero can burn those files.

if u are autoburning with shrink and Nero, u can find the Nero logg here
C:\Program Files\Nero\Nero 7\Core

Look for the neroHistory.txt file
Only copy the last log and edit ur serial number out

I believe this is the log for the error burn... Thank you very much.

It does not always throw an error so I believe the settings are right.

TY means Taiyo Yuden. You got the best media there is with those TY T02s. TDK will not always be TYs tho, you were lucky.

That worked perfectly for burning the VIDEO_TS file. Now will it do the necessary compression on the file that i pull from DVDFab so that I can burn it to a single layer? Or do I have to run it through DVDShrink first somehow?

If you used Fab decrypter to rip to your HDD, then you'll need to run it thru Shrink or Nero Recode to get it to fit on single layer disc unles the original was also SL.

so if u r interested in getting Nero to work u can try a different version, i believe the version u have currently is full of bugs

So u can DL the newest version from HERE

First use this Nero clean TOOL and then install the newer version
Dont forget to write down your serial number too
