I have been working with shrink for a year or so and just recently when I reauthor a movie and then take out different sound tracks then select back up it hesitates for a couple of seconds and instead of asking me where to put the iso file the program just shuts down. This computer is fairly new but I have ripped and burned about 10 movies since I built it. It is an athlon dual core 4800 939 chip, 2 gigs of ram, 16 speed liteon dvd burner, 7900 Geforce card, Audigy sound card and an gigabit N4force mother board. Running Windows XP with all the updates. DVD Shrink and current version of Any dvd. Seems to have started soon after I installed HL2 the first episode.

sorry for the long post but wanted to give someone the most information I can give. No error message just shut down. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. Aslo have Clone2dvd since it seems to be the only app that works with AnyDVD to break Sony's security. I have uninstalled that but to no avail. Any help or ideas someone can give me would be appreciated.

Thanks
Chef.

If you have these two apps, why use shrink at all? CloneDVD2 is really all you need to do what you mention doing with shrink. Always make sure you're using the current version of AnyDVD, the latest is 6.1.3.3 http://www.slysoft.com/en/download.html

Since you state you have AnyDVD, it's safe to assume it's not a decryption issue, but I have seen this happen when using shrink to autoburn to disk using Nero (this seems to happen with older versions of Nero). If you have shrink set to auto burn the ISO to disk using Nero, change the setting so shrink saves the ISO to a location on your hard drive, you can then manually burn the image to disk using Nero.

Use Anydvd and believe

For what its worth. The Bourne Supremacy and another movie shut down like that on me too. Exactly the way you explained it. I had to use something besides Shrink as a result. Try another movie and see if it happens again. Otherwise just use clonedvd2 on that particular dvd. Good luck

Thanks for all the help. The two movies are Happy feet and Curse of the Golden Flower but I do not think it is the movie. I think it is something else conflicting with shrink. I have been impressed with Clonedvd2 and think I will start using it instead of shrink.

That is one of the movies that shrink has issues with. Casino Royale and Chilren of Men also have this issue.

I use ripit4me to dvd decryptor to shrink to Nero. I had this issue with Casino Royale. Clonedvd2 is really good but if you do want to use free software you can. I recommend DVD FAB to Shrink or

my personal favorite is this method

You no longer have to download fixvts. Its included with ripit4me.

IN the end if you have the slysoft suite ide roll with it. Hope this wasnt too difficult to understand. In a hurry
