Since We cannot count on Microsoft to give us "real" ratio numbers of good 360's to Bad 360's. Lets find out among afterdawn members what we can, for the real troubles of this otherwise great console.
Even if you have had No problems please chime in as we need the good input as well as the bad. Thanks to all who participate.

I will start: My first X-box 360 lasted 17 weeks and am now on my second unit.

That's what I never understood. How come the first batch of Xboxes always overheat and melt discs? I have a PS2 and getting a PS3, so I don't really care, but they had that problem with the first Xbox as well as the 360:S

And now I hear that the HD-DVD expansion isn't functioning right? Some movies aren't working as well as CD's and whatever? Not that it matters to many of us(because we might not have the HD-DVD), but for the people that have bought it must be a little mad. For $120.00, I would.

if your xbox or xbox 360 melts dvds, you dont need it in your house, it takes way too much heat to melt a dvd...

My first one died, though i think it may have been my fault: I had been constantly unplugging the AVI cable from the 360 and plugging in the VGA cable while it was on to compare HD and Standard displays. In the end the AV cable stopped displaying a picture. MS ended up giving me a new console.

The new one I've had for about a year, and I've only had it freeze a few times on Oblivion- though the disc is scratched and I'm pretty sure it isn't the console.

I got my xbox on 17th Decemeber and I'm on my 6th 1 already. This morning I watched a film and then it freezes and 3 red lights come on. I unpluged everything and let it rest for 30mins and now a couples hours after its working fine but I know its going to break again.

When this new xbox 360 comes out im going to demand for one in replacement if my 360 breaks again, or im going to threaten them with legal action.

Xbox Live: Mancunian UK (Suspended) // XxiMaNCuNiANixX // MancunLan // Boratty Boy

Only add me if you play Halo 3.
