Hi guys, I apologise in advance if this problem is covered in another thread somewhere but for the life of me I cant find it. I've spent 3 days reading forum after forum trying to find a solution, trying everything displayed. Have re-installed Nero and shrink more times than I care to think about. Right now I think my head is about to explode so I'm just gonna start a new thread and cross my fingers!
Basically having trouble with the autoburn with Nero feature. Various issues over the last few weeks, deleted everything then started again, found files named Roxio in program files, according to other threads these are bad so deleted them, read that I should use a Nero version 6 specific clean tool then a reg cleaner, downloaded and ran both. Reinstalled Nero first then shrink but still ended up with this....

Just an add-on to the above.... So many threads recommend different programs to use which require a seperate burning program. My profficiency with these programs is limited so I'm looking for the easiest and most user friendly solution possible.

You guys are incredible!!!
One other question though... According to some forum posters, a program called InCD I think it is, was labled "Evil". Will this come with these downloads? How do I avoid it?

Also, is there a specific order I need to run these installs? Will I need to install shrink again?

Never had a prob with InCD being installed, what are these evils they speak of,the only thing i can think of is it is'nt compat with record now's DLA,and ya don't need DLA installed anyway,if it is a concern you can use ccleaner to remove the startup registry entry to stop it running at boot of OS

InCD is a packet writing program included in the Nero suite. It's a handy utility, but many have found it interferes with the burner when trying do a video backup. It's a separate option in the Nero install. When I last installed Nero the option wasn't checked. In the past I needed to uncheck it. Whichever way you encounter it during the install, just remember the InCD box is to be unchecked. Some may be lucky, but many haven't been. So if a user runs into problems with InCD installed, it's best to eliminate it first. My suggestion is don't take the chance.

Yep, better to leave it out. If you ever do need it then you could install it. If things start screwing up you will know to remove it. (with the removal tool) If it doesn't then fine, leave it. The main thing here is just being aware of a potential conflict.
You can install in either order. I'd do package 1 first though. That's what everyone else does.

One month ago I bought this Asus SATA DVDRW & I updated my Nero to the version that came with the drive - 6.6.1.6 It works with all my programs except DVD Shrink. It seems that DVD Shrink only works with older version of Nero.

Shrink works with the latest Nero 7 and all the 6 versions. It uses the Burning ROM in all versions. So, I don't see what happened unless something in an OEM version was altered.
