You probably can if you use the cross-over emulation program like Parallels

There's some different ripper software for the Mac OS. I think there's one named Mac the Ripper. For transcoding I think DVD2One has a Mac version. Mac doesn't use the same software as Windows unless you have one of the newer Macs that allow a Windows OS to run. Either that or as Car.Mike mentioned cross-over emulation programs. There is a section here at AD specifically for Mac users.
