ok so i tried a search on this forum & most people were having problems with DVD Shrink burning newer movies due to new encryptions. i even tried following the solutions for these problems (i.e. tried using ripti4me, imgburn, etc.). then i tried burning an older DVD that I have previously burned before & i realized that even THAT won't burn now!! it does the same thing every time- it finished analyzing & gives an error at 0% burning before it even starts. the error log is below. PLEASE if anyone can help it would appreciated! my burner is only a year & a half old, and I have already tried uninstalling/reinstalling/updating all my software with no luck. thanks in advance!

Try cleaning your machine and see if that alleviates any problems. Defrag your HDD and run CCleaner. Find it here: http://www.ccleaner.com
DVD Shrink is notorious for not responding well to a fragmented HDD. Worth a shot!
Also, have you tried uninstalling Shrink and reinstalling it again?

I think what Car.Mike was getting at is the same thing I noticed.
Cdr4_2K.sys and Cdralw2k.sys
Those are Roxio drivers and are a common problem. You can google them and you'll see what I mean. Since Roxio is no longer on the PC, I'd suggest using RoxiZap to remove those drivers. It's a cleaner tool available at the Roxio site and some other sites, just google. Run a reg program and then reboot to see if the problem clears up.

Glad you got it under control. If you googled those drivers you saw what I was talking about. Even if not the problem, it's good preventive maintenance getting rid of them, especially since Roxio is gone.
