People the WiiKey is the best chip out there at the moment, made by a veteran company, Can be updated via DVD in the future & the easiest to solder! I'm loving it! Who the hell cares about gamecube games? This is the Wii!

For reference, the new wiikey update comes out around the 15th, and I think thats supposed to fix the audio streaming problem. (just saying something else to keep an eye out for because one of the main arguements here against the wiikey is the gamecube compatibility.

Yes it is the Wii and that is a Nintendo product. Allot of members that bought the Wii have Gamecube backups and would like to play their GameCube games on the Wii.

I'm not saying the Wiikey is a bad chip but I will say WiiD is just as good and with the extra option to disable the Modchip and better support for GameCube games it slightly beats out Wiikey.

just watch when the wiikey update comes, i am pretty sure the wiikey will be better then the wiid

ATTENTION!! Don't buy the wiid modchip.
It doesnt have support for last games like: Super mario Galaxy. And they haven't update their firmware since April 2007. They dont answer to e-mails, and they dont care.

Be careful this chip is death.

wiid vs wiikey . no dubts wiikey have a real support.

that is my wiid evaluation.

Can anyone confirm if WiiD does not support mario galaxy or any of the newer games?

Whats the story with playing wii games online? Can I play import NTSC games online with the chip installed? The main reason im getting this is to play smash bros brawl since europe are getting screwed by the looks of it.
Thanks,

I can personally say that the wiid do not support (SMG) Super Mario because I had a wiid and I had to take it out and get a wiikey to play Mario and any other future games. On top of that the (wiid team lol) don't respond to any emails.
And about online play I guess it's like the xbox 360 Play at your OWN risk.

Actually as of earlier this month, the Wiid team has finally released a new update to their chip. This allows full functionality with Super Mario Galaxy, and all current games. The only game i cannot vouch for is Super Smash Bros Brawl. For more info visit the Wiid Website (or google Wiid)

The way the WiiD team treated customers on this whole Super Mario Galaxy was just plain crap. Took to long to update the Modchip plus they didn't keep in touch to let members know they where even working on an update.

Not only that they have no tech support at all.

I still recommend members to never buy a WiiD and consider going to another Modchip if your currently using the WiiD.
