hiya can anyone help me please...i bought a null modem cable 9 pin female to 9 pin female from shop , but it never came with cd rom. Can anyone tell me where i can get one please, and the instruction on how to do the updates please on my RL...ty lynn

I WAS UP IN MY MOTHER IN LAWS EARLIER THIS EVENING, SHE HAS A 752 JUST LIKE YOURS AND SO HAS MY MOTHER (OLDEST WOMAN IN ALL OF KUSACK)BOTH BOXES ARE UPDATING ON THEIR OWN.
FUNNY THING THOUGH,BOTH BOXES HAVE THE 752, MOTHER IN LAW IN ARTANE HAS INFO BUTTON WORKING AND THE ONE IN DONNYCARNEY HAS NOT.
SO YOUR BOX SHOULD BE FINE WITH YOUR SETTINGS.
IF IT'S WORKING AT THE MOMENT-HAPPY DAYS.
WELL DONE ON FLASHING FOR THE FIRST TIME.
THANKS TO ALL FOR UPDATES AND INFO.

Tried to get Null Modem cable in PC World, Liffey Valley. No joy. Where in Dublin can I get one? In the meantime, has anyone got codes for RL that work on N*L Dublin? Help!!

HELLO LYNNA IN BONNIE SCOTLAND.
BRIAN1956 IN IRELAND HERE.
THE INSTRUCTIONS ARE IN A WORD DOCUMENT IN THE ZIP FILE.
THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF FLASHING IS BEING PATIENT.
DOWNLOAD THE UK 752 FILE FROM THE LINK BELOW.
The file below contain Replay Lite Software version 7.52, the STB/PC interface (stb5.20) and full instructions tailored for THE UK.
YOU DON'T NEED A CD TO DO THE UPGRADE, EVERYTHING YOU NEED IS IN THE FILE BELOW.

A Null Modem Cable is required which you already have.
BE PATIENT WHEN FLASHING YOUR BOX FROM YOUR PC. THE LED WILL FLASH RED/GREEN WHILE THE FILE IS BEING DOWNLOADED TO YOUR PC. YOUR PC WILL READ TRANSFER COMPLETE---IT TAKES A LITTLE MORE FOR THE BOX TO UPDATE, EVEN AFTER YOUR PC READS TRANSFER COMPLETE--WAIT TILL THE LED IS FLASHING MORE QUICKLY THAN IT WAS WHEN THE FILE WAS BEING DOWNLOADED FROM YOUR PC TO YOUR BOX. THEN UNPLUG THE NULL MODEM LEAD BEFORE YOU REMOVE THE POWER LEAD. THEN THE POWER LEAD CONNECT YOUR TV CABLES AND THEN THE POWER LEAD. THE BOX WILL COME ON AND IT WILL TAKE SOME FOR IT TO UPGRADE. GO TO ONE OF THE MOVIE CHANNELS SAY 77 AND WAIT UNTILL THE CHANNEL COMES IN.
IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH SOUND TURN YOUR BOX OFF AND THEN ON AGAIN, THE SOUND SHOULD COME IN AGAIN. LEAVE YOUR BOX ON FOR THE FIRST FEW NIGHTS AND AFTER THAT YOU CAN LEAVE IT ON STANDBY. NEVER UNPLUG IT.

Hi Guys,
I have the same problem as compillit had ...the red light still stays on no matter what i do,cloning or upgrading 7.44 or 7.52
Now I cannot get a connection becsuse the red light is always stuck on
does anyone have version 7.42a

I GOT AN EMAIL FROM THE SITE ADMINISTRATOR SAYING SOFTWARE UPGRADE FILE FOR REPLAY LITE. I WENT TO THE LINK AND THERE ARE TWO FILES TO DOWNLOAD.
THE 752 HAS IE. AT THE END OF IT, SO HAS TO BE FOR IRELAND.

Hi Brian1956,
I have downloaded the files & they are both clean as you said.
The STBLink6 is fine & it is the newest version, I was just curious about the 752 because it's exactly the same size as the version I have.
I'm working fine since the release of 752 & I'm not too worried about the EPG.

A FRIEND OF MINE HAS A DODGY BOX AND I WILL GET IT OFF HER THIS WEEKEND AND TRY THAT 752 FILE.
I WILL SEARCH AROUND FOR THE PATCH FOR THE 752 BUT I WILL ONLY TRY IT ON A DODGY BOX. NO NEED TO TEMPT FAITH.

Hi Brain, my box is the same as compillits. Stuck on the red LED. I registred with the forum maldiviandigital but was unable to download the files. I got stblink 6 elsewhere and I still get the connection error as I did with stblink 5.20... any help would be appreciated

can any one help? my replay lite box has been scrambled and cant find any codes that work, not sure if i should try flashing..i have a usb-9pin rs232 cable but not sure what i should do..can anyone tell me if i need more? and if so how to flash etc, thankyou.

Mine was the same, I got the null modem and the appropriate files to flash it.... Now my box is not working atall...just sits with a red LED. Do not flash it unless you have no other alternative :P

jister1 the only problem people keep getting with the flashing to 7.52 is not taking time for upgrade to finish.The flash is the only way forward did mine 3 weeks ago and had no problems no lost channels and all info and epg works. WHEN FLASHING READ INSTRUCTIONS WAIT FOR FAST FLASHING RED/GREEN BEFORE DISCONNECTING...... GOOD LUCK

REDS it is quite an easy thing to do just read instructions and wait for fast flashing green/red light no more 1800 scrambled

it could be that your cable isn't a null modem or if you're trying to use a usb converter that doesn't work. if you go back a couple of pages in this forum I think itwas gman that gave instructions on how to check your settings for your com ports, you could try that and see if it works.
