Hi Gman,
That's a great find and will be of great benifit to our members on MMDS.
The channels that we lost.
I can't remember exactly but it was a couple of channels I don't usually watch. My bratz miss jetix a lot, but that means I can watch TV.
Take care Gman.

ANY ONE WITH A FROZEN REPLAY LITE BOX.
The Red light scenario:Brian1956
The reason for this can be unplugging the null modem and unplugging the power BEFORE the box can fully upgrade.
When the blocks are transferring the red/green light will flash slowly. Even after all the files are transferred by your PC WAIT until the red/green lights flash much more quickly than it did when you could visibly see the files transferring on your PC.
Only then unplug everything and exit the stb link.
Make sure the null modem lead has part number L71BT on the front of the cover.
Do not accept anything that does not have this part number.
A Null Modem Cable is required which can be purchased for ?18 from Maplins Dublin city centre or if you can wait to have it delivered you can purchase online UK for a fraction of the cost plus postage. One example of where they can be purchased online is http://www.amazon.co.uk/StarTech-com-Nul...9/dp/B00006B8BJ
ALL THE FILES REQUIRED AT
http://eko.4shared.com/
Go to the replay folder.
Go to documentation and download: Flashing the replay lite box.
This will guide you through the flashing process.
Read this thoroughly before you attempt to flash the box.
Go to the software folder and download: stblink5.20.zip
This is the file that will transfer the firmware from your PC to the replay lite box.
Go to the firmware folder and download:
742a
744
752
These are the files that need to be transferred to your box from your PC via the null modem lead.
When you have all these files downloaded, you are ready to go.
____________________________________________________________________
Connect the null modem lead to the box and your PC.
Click on the stblink5.20.zip file and choose run.
Do not do choose the setup comm.
And ignore any errors you see.
Remember UNTICK maintain user data.
Select upgrade software
Get the 742a file from your PC.
From when you see the blocks start to transfer.
It takes 4 mins for the box to be updated.
But make sure you see the led flashing much more quickly than it did when the blocks were transferring. If you leave for even 5 mins it will be OK.
Wait until all the blocks are transferred and WAIT a couple of more minutes for the led to flash much more rapidly than it did when you could visibly see when the blocks were transferring.
Unplug everything and only connect the power lead.
Wait for the led to flash red/green and then stay on green.

Is it a Laptop?
Are you sure that connection is not for a monitor?

Well then that 15 pin connector is for connecting an external monitor.
You will have to get a USB to 9 Pin Male Serial Adapter if you want to connect the box to it via the serial Null Modem cable.
You can get them in the Maplin Electronics (Product Code: ZP43W)

Hi John,
Unplug it, power up again and if still nothing, try to do a factory reset.
What country and area are you in, roughly.

What exactly do you mean when you say it won't work?
Are you sure you allowed the flash enough time to complete successfully? & that you did use v7.52 software?
What light is showing on the front panel now?

All N** areas have different freq well in the country they do so what i suggest is you rescan the box again and you should be able to get them again

panoodles: Try to be more precise with your description of the problem. (Help us to help you!)
Scrambled "WHAT"?
You never answered my earlier question, what software revision is on your box?
If your Replay Lite displays 'scrambled 0000' instead of the normal 'scrambled 1800'
Do the following,
Go to ?Menu? > ?Parental Lock? & type in 7777 then hit OK
Turn off parental lock
goto key manager and turn off Auto update in the current key.

Hi All...
I know I've asked this before and I understand people are busy etc but as the Replay Lite seems to be a lot less popular and harder to buy nowadays I can't help but to think that there won't be a software update for Irish customers that will fix the info button / EPG problem. As this feature was working in the 7.44 version I can't imagine that extracting this code and replacing it in the 7.52 version could be too much hassle or time consuming. PLEASE can someone fix this as it has been 5/6 months now since this problem first appeared.
Many thanks...

Well CBX,
a lot less popular & harder to buy is a matter of opinion I suppose?
Personally I think they are still the best for many reasons,
1. They're so small & tidy.
2. They're so easy to update, setup & use.
3. Since the 7.52 update they have been rock solid.
4. They can be cloned from one to another in minutes. (It's a snip)
Of course the EPG is an issue for many people but I can live with that to be honest.
As for the "Hard to buy"?
Have you ever considered that this is because they're so popular? & maybe it's a case of demand out stripping supply?
I bought a few during the week & like everything else, if you know where to go & really want to source them, you will!
I don't know if you keep an eye on the VOX forum? but they appear to be having a fair bit of grief with the latest model from what I've read (But again that's just my opinion)
I hope the guru's out there do sort the EPG issue (I say issue as opposed to problem) because you and many others miss it. (I wouldn't hold my breath though).
At the end of the day, if the box delivers the channels on a consistent basis then I can live with that.
