Just ignore the message and click ok. For some reason it does this with a lot of computers. You should still be able to save the channel settings. If not just install the software and use one of the channel dumps from the replay section of eamo's library which will have them all sorted

New software for the Replay Box PVR.

Back up your channels first.
To backup your saved channels and favourites.

Connect the null modem lead to your PC and box and power up the box.
Open up the stb link.
Setup Comm.
Click Read User Data
The file will be called Factory_Data.txt
There will be 64 blocks to download from the box.
Save it to your desktop and re-name it what you want.
_____________________________________________

Then flash with the 742A
Plug back in your box wait for green light.
Then flash with the 913.
Box will probably stay on red.
Reload your channels and favs and it will fix this.
________________________________

You can reload the file you have saved on your desktop.
Open up the stb link
Click Write Factory Data and get the saved file from your desktop.
There will be 64 blocks to upload.
When it's transferred to your box.
Unplug everything...power up the box...wait for green light....then plug in your TV and scart leads.

You will have to wait while
for it to unscramble.

Hello wise ones. Having a problem throwing the software onto one of the boxes. Have done a few others with no problems but I can't seem to get the coms to set up on one. The others are working fine. I put the replay on standby reconnected the cables and opened up the stb link but still no connection. I'm just guessing here but will i have to try and flash with something else. If anyone can help that would be great

If you are using the same pc and cable that worked on the others, have you tried comm port 1 or 2. If it is not this it would indicate that the problem is with the box. If so try the following, go to Current key on the box and turn off the auto update which is most likely keeping the box busy and that may be why you cannot connect.

Sorry about the last post but that box is working fine. Strange that it wasn't connecting at all and also when I connected it to the tv I didn't have to search for channels they all popped up straight away.
Maybe the replay fairies sorted it out while i was having a smoke? Congrats on throwing the software up again and those links were a godsend coz I'm in the middle of nowhere on dialup

Meant to say you will also need a Null Modem Cable part number L71BT. You only need the usb to 9pin male if you dont have a 9 pin male comm port on your pc.

Call them first to make sure they have them in as they were sold out at the weekend.

Just checked the box and it's running 752 so the software didn't load. Turned off the autoupdate but still no joy.

I'm using the comm port. I'm pretty sure it's the box because I threw the software on one after this box with no problems

Has me stumped. Have you checked the pins on both the comm port and the box to make sure none of them are bent.

One final suggestion that worked for someone the other day. Ignore the connection error once you know you are using the correct port number (1 or 2) and select the bin file and load it.

If this dont work give Brian or Gman a shout as they may be familiar with this problem.

Spot on Riemann,
Nice one.

Buzzymcg,

Sounds like you have a dead box.
Have you just got a Red Light.

Flash the box with 742A,
Don't do the setup com,
Untick the Mintain user software,
Upgrade Software,
You will see a warning, saying you "lost all saved data....Ignore and continue and finish the flash with the 742A.
When the flash is complete,
uplug all the leads...power up again and flash it with 910 as normal.
