Hi, I don't know if anyone can help me. My dads friend from golf lives in Sutton and he has a replay lite. He is not computer literate and he is looking for someone to come and fix his box, or he can drop it off. If anyone is looking for a nixer could you reply to this and I will put him in contact with you or send you on his details.

hey there moggser, i am also in the south area of london (croydon/mitcham) and was just wondering if you could tell me of anyone who could do my firmware update on my replay lite box (if it's for a fee, no probs)..
i explained in my previous post as to why i am scared of doing anything to it myself..

This really is getting on my wicks end, I hate working with computers, they can be so finicky.
Anyways, I did something last night and it said that it was uninstalled and to restart if I wanted to re install it. They laptop froze on me so I just took the battery out.
Today now, when I put the USB cable in the laptop doesn't even acknowledge that it's there. Also, when I put the driver disc in, it doesn't load up it just shows me some goddamned files. When I find one that said I could install it, it told that it couldn't find INF files whatever that means.
Seriously lads, I don't know how you can do this stuff.

Not too sure what the problem is with the update, it should work, just to clarify a few simple things: is the box powered on when you connect it to the null modem cable? What software is on your laptop? (I updated on a XP Pro and had no probs) and did you install the usb driver software correctly?
Also after you restart your computer the com part will need to be set to 1 or 2 (follow gman's guide) as it reverts back to the original com port (e.g. com 12)
From what it sounds the most likely problem is that it's not saving the com port settings (to either com1 or com2) make sure it saves the settings when you reassign com ports.

I'm not too sure if there's any one around that area, a lot of the people on this forum are Irish based. The update procedure is really quite simple and if you read over the posts and follow them correctly you sholud have no problem updating the firmware. There's a PDF file available form emo's library (click on the link at the end of Brian or Gman's posts) that will guide you through illusatraions every step of the process. All you need is the cable and a USB adapter which will cost you about £40 (a lot cheaper than what some people charge!) and download the STB Link software and the V9.10 firmware update (all available from emo's library) It'll take you 15 minutes to do and if you run into any problems updating there will prob be someone on her that can help you.

i have a replay lite that software has been updated recently!!
i tried 2 autosearch 2 find any new channels on stream!!
now i have no channels!!
can any please tell me how 2 tune them back in??

It doesn't seem to matter which port I put it to, 1 or 2. It just keeps saying the system cannot find the file specified, then com port error. The box is on when I do it. I'm also using Vista.

its called brians channel fav 08 you should get it in the emo liberary where you got soft ware

you see that might be a prob right there check the settins on vista
or ask some one here might have it runnin from vista and might know whats up

would you look at yis , why not just get sky and pay your bill you scabby bastards, again you buy all the cables or line some nerds pocket to do it 4 you ,and not to mention all the electricity and time it takes you're pretty sad if you ask me ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

Sounds like someone is pissed they dont live in a cable area!!! Sure CBeebies is free on sky for you in place of BBC3 but finshes about 7 for your bedtime :).
Keep up the great work guys, having the replay has enabled me to taqke the baby on holiday this year so well worth it to me :).

I was just wondering I updated the box firmware to Beta 9.10 and it came across to the box ok but i am having problems getting into current key in key manager,when i click on it the box just blinks and wont open,
i can get into nagra,i changed all the setting in parental lock.
Any ideas

Hi Guys & Girls,
I have recently upgraded to ver 7.52 software on my replay lite box.
However, I am unable to access the Key Manager screen, after going tru the parental control and also unable to access the hidden screen using the info menu using both pins.
The reason im trying to upgrade is I don?t wish to keep entering the keys each time they change,
IDDAVE, have you had any luck using the beta VER 9.10 ???
It looks as your having the same problems as me just using higher SW VER
Hopefully if I can get into the current key screen all my problems will be answered, does anyone think they might be able to help me??

try 7777 on the dode change at parental lock should work or unplug the box for about a min or so

its ok, got it fixed.
basically my little brother managed to corrupt the system folder of windows, a reinstallation of xp with file system left intact did the job
