ok this is what to do go to menu user installation then factory default highlight the ok press it you will get a warning that your channels are going to be deleted the box will go off and then come back on again then press menu again user installation auto search put your start freq or leave it as it is the same with your end freq change your symbol rate to 6887 down to search and press ok and let it do the rest ok

Thanks Fergus, did a restore to factory default, then did an auto scan on 6887 for N*L like Anto said before, and they're all coming in fine. Have about 140, not sure if I've lost any or not yet. Anyone know what martin and martin1 is?

yep you have them all you only get about 134 or so and them channels are just something the cc put on you dont need them so get rid as you will not be able to view anyway

We had ppv channel showing for about five mins, the simpsons movie started and then it went NA scrambled on us, kids are cracking up. I did a manual scan for it and it's still scrambled, any ideas?

just leave it for a few mins on another channel it will come back it is just finding itself ok
try a few other channels they will be the same so just be patient
this is what it says on the tv below
NA scrambled yes ??

Yeah it's saying NA Scrambled, but none of the other channels are like that. It's strange, the movie was just starting, so I don't know how it could be off air. The EPG is saying channel off air. Anyway, doesn't matter, they're watching friends now instead. Thanks anyway!

yep just tried mine and mine is off as well so they must have switched the broadcasting off on that channel till later on

Hi all, first of all I'd like to thank everyone for the information that I have been able use to update my rep lite, however the time has come to ask for specific help as I fear I'm not out of the woods yet. I have read, re-read and read again the last 14 pages of this thread, determined to flash this box, and it seemed to go o.k once I got past the comms problem but I don't seem to be able to sort out the channels. In the last couple of days, I've done 7 complete re-scans on 6887 and 2 with 6875. I have used Jamie's and Brian's channel list but there's always something missing. I've done manual searches using 3 different frequency lists courtesy of gman but to no avail. One of the things I've noticed is that the frequency of my channels do not match any of the lists, e.g my sky sp1 reads 747 instead of 491. Its getting to the stage now where I keep looking at the windows thinking about which one I'm gonna launch this box through. Is there something obvious that I've missed, any help would be appreciated.
p.s I'm in Nottingham if its relevant. Thanks again.

Hi Kikivee,
Those channels you downloaded to your box were for Ireland.
Those channel list's frequencies were also for Ireland.
If you do a scan at these settings you should get all your channels in the UK Nottingham.
Start Freq........290
End freq..........866
Symbol Rate.......6887
Constellation.....64Qam
Search by Network..ON
When all channels are found...select View.

Hi Brian, thanks for prompt reply. I had already used the settings you quoted the first time I scanned, but ended up overwriting because there were some missing channels. I have now re-done it twice this afternoon, with each one being progressively worse. I haven't looked into all the channels that are missing, but the first time there was no Sk Sp 1, and the second time there was no Sk sports or Sk film channels at all. The other thing that is strange is that if I go the autosearch page in the menu again, the symbol rate has changed to 6952. Finally, if I manage to get most channels eventually, where might I be able to find the frequencies that I will need to manually scan, I've tried googling, but I end up getting out of my depth. Sorry to be a nuisance.......K

ppv usually airs when there is something on to air i.e boxing match wrestling movie that type thing

Yeah, the ppv thing was the kids put it on and the simpsons movie was starting, they got to see the first five mins or so and then it went NA scrambled on them. Happened twice in one day, so don't really know what that was about. Went out and bought it for a tenner in Golden Discs, so now they can see it whenever they like. Don't think there's been anything on it today. Did you try the signature pic thing that Gman sent u? Sending you a pm.

I thought there was two before, but I only have one now since I did the rescan, and there's only one listed on Gman's channel frequency list for Dub.

one was for the footie prem plus but that got scrapped after setana took over most of the viewing rights

Hi Eva,
My cable provider was Ch0ru$ now U*P*C.
I thoought it should work in Sligo as well as Galway cos Ch0ru$ and N*TL are all under U*P*C now!
Think I'll get someone to check my box in Galway to see if its the box or the area.
