Kardz did you ever have chelsea tv on your box, I have checked a few uk frequency lists and its not on any of them, also read somewhere you don,t get it in uk don't know how true that is. Maybe if someone has it they can post the frequency to sort you out.

hope it helps.

If this a Replay Box PVR,Don't use 744

You need to flash it with 742A,

Unplug the Box,

Flash with 913.

Unplug the Box.

Then put a channel dump file on it, any channel dump file will do.

Even if it's not from your area and the frequencies are wrong,

It will kickstart your box and then you can do a new search for channels.

I posted on the previous page how to load a channel dump file.

You might try loading the channel dump file before you do anything else,, if it doesn't work flash the PVR as above 742A/913

This method has worked before, hope it works for you M8ty

Try doing a factory reset, it should bring you back to previous channels frequencies.

Don't be nervous in doing this as it won't change the Softwarwe on the box, just your channel settings.

when did this happin?? did you flash the box recently??
was it dropped or interferd with in any way?
Hi moggser no the box wasn't dropped just no sound available. Think I'll need the solder for this one

Hi buzzymcg,

You might want to drop the Manufacturer an email and ask them to send you a drawing of the components on the Circut Board.

Me thinks thats were the trouble is, use Low Melt Solder if you have it.

Here's their site,

Hi buzzymcg

Sounds like its time to do the old process of elimination. I would advise you start with the scart cable and replace it with another as this carries both sound and audio and can easily get damaged or worn.

Sorry just read after I posted that you had already tried this. I think Brian has the right idea.

One last thing that might be worth a shot. If you have a tv which takes component av cables (Red, Yellow & White) try a set of these to connect the replay directly from the corresponding component sockets on the box.

Hi Mattiem,

When on one of the Channels on the box, Press the OK button on your remote control.

The freq of that particular channel will be in the left corner of the screen.EG 307.0MHz

Use the arrow PR+ button to scroll up through the channels.

Make a note of your lowest freq and your highest freq and you will have your start and end frequencies.

This will make future scans easier and quicker for you.

Delighted you are up and running M8ty.

Hi Mattiem,

Could you give me some feedback on your Start and End Frequencies and how many channels you found during your recent scan.

Thanks.

Hi Can anyone help.
I want to record from a replay lite box to a VCR. The TV has one scart (the only one) connected to the box. The cable aerial connector is to the box too. How do I connect the VCR so that it can record TV channels?

You will need 2 scart leads.

First scart goes fron your box to the "scart in" on your video.

Second scart goes from the "scart out" on your video to your TV.

Put your TV on the station number you normally watch your Videos.

On your video go through the channel numbers until you see the picture coming through your video from the box on your TV.

If you have a AV button on yout video you wont have to do the last step.

Connect the Null Modem lead (L71BT Maplins)from yout PC to the Box.

Open up the stb link

Click Write Factory Data and get the channel dump file from your desktop.

There will be 64 blocks to upload, they will transfer from your PC to your box.

When your PC reads Transfer Complete WAIT about ten seconds before unplugging the box and null modem lead.

Plug back in the box, when the light goes green. connect the TV cable and scart lead.

The Stblink is in the library, link at the bottom of this post.

Did the light on the box flash Red/Green when your PC was transferring the file and did your PC read transfer complete?

Unplug the box again and see what happens when you plug it back in again.

Was the Null modem lead the correct one L71BT

An ordinary RS232 cable will look the same as the null modem but will not do the job.

You might have to load up the channel dump file again.
