They told you that you WERE banned because you ARE on the list to be banned sooner or later. That's my guess. They told me the same thing. 6 hours later, the banhammer sunk it's claws into me.

its nothing against anyone. if i told PS2 to stop bitching, it doesnt mean i dont like him. its just getting old having people complain about something that is old news. you guys brought it all on yourself. when im banned im not going to have hard feelings against MS its not their fault i modded my console.

Hey Mike I think you have the same setup as me - so i think you should keep it the same and then find out how long it takes for us to get banned - i mean the lady said the "scanned" your box and said you are banned yet you are not.
Did you call her back and say "hey you told me my console is banned but its not - what gives"?
Although I would hate for you to uncover something to MS that they didn't know regarding the particular flash you have and why its not banned?
i am going to call back about it because if im not banned by tomorrow then i know something is going on, that my scenario is different than other people who have been banned. i just want to be able to help find a solution to this whole mess.

Are people still getting banned on a daily basis? Ok we are all aware that some have been banned and some haven't but is it still happening? Has anyone been banned today or yesterday for example?
I'm starting to think maybe, just maybe whatever MS are doing it's not 100% effective and perhaps some will escape the ban? Of course I have nothing to support this, it's just wishful thinking on my part.

I'm hoping that's the case.
If I do escape the bans I won't be playing anymore backups, it's not worth the risk.

I really hope that your right. But on one of the previous pages when someone spoke with MS about the bannings and got a rep to "spill the beans" so to speak it was said that if your console was flagged then you were on a list. Now getting flagged from what i have read can be a number of different things that they check including the firmware. And each day they go through a little bit of this list and ban people. So if your not banned yet chances are they just have not gotten to your name yet.
But i am sure that they ar having some problems. Like the poor people who sent their unmodded consoles in to be repaired, and get sent a different refurbished console. Well they did not check the firmware on those and some innocent non-modders are being banned because of this. So in those cases MS is at fault for not fixing and returning the right console to it's owner.
We will all just have to wait and see what happens. But it does bring up an interesting question
Who has been banned this week? List as much information as you can if you have been banned within this week. Please do not post if you got banned and it was not this week. Only interested in the present, we all know what happened in the past.

Hey Steimy - I started a thread yesterday for people top post in if they were banned this week. The good thing is no one posted in the thread so it seems no one has been banned this week. I bumped the thread to bring it back to the top though in case some poeple miss it. I will just bump it to the top once each morning. Hopefully all the thread will contain is bumps!!

People are still getting banned daily. I know some were banned yesterday. However, it's true it seems Microsoft's banning system is all jacked up since they are banning innocents. You'd think they would at least check a console's serial and ID to see if it's refurbished since they obviously haven't been checking to see if consoles were modded when they were sent in.

OK navsav, i see it now. It may just be the no one here at this site was banned this week. I am just waiting for the hammer to come down on me. Until then it is Rainbow Six Vegas every night baby :)

Steimy you got it right bro!! Rainbow 6 till we get shot down in a blaze of glory!! We gotta at least get one game together before tha hammer goes down. How about tonight - of course I can't get on till like 9pm PST. You planning on staying up late tonight? - if not lets stay up late tomorrow night and get some mad R6 going!
As for the banning - I have heard from others of people getting banned recently - but am still waiting for a trusted AD member to post here that they got recently banned.

A friend of mine is still unbanned and he's been online nearly every day since ban hammer day. Also his setup falls within the tip guidelines I posted for avoiding banning on page 20. Of course it doesn't mean he won't ever get banned, but it's a good sign as you are still unbanned steimy too. Also my new 360 is still running good on Live too.

Nothing for me yet, either. In fact I just downloaded the Dirt demo... letting my console sit for an hour and a half doing it while I ran to the gym. Came home, demo was done, and was still signed into Live.
