nograde1,
Sorry good guy, forgot to put stars elsewhere, cloneDVD is an excellent burning program simple to use one - that one you just have to try then decide for yourself -

Nero has a trial that's free - they want you to purchase it after 30 days- don't know about recordnowmax.
I erased Nero out of everything even registry, it loaded a trial again thinking it was my first use, I couldn?t seem to get it right for a third time so who's complaining?? Now that I spent the money, I?m not sorry !
Just got burnatonce loaded without incident just now, no spyware, -have to find out what?s up when I have time to catch another burnatonce member online ? will let you know how the new one is working out ?

i used the 30 day trial of recordnow and didnt want to pay the higher download rate. I searched it at froogle.com and found it for $30 and got the dvd in 3 days. Well worth the investment and much better than having to screw around with the registry every 30 days.

Aaah well now yuedana is the ranking member here, I think he could tell you how to do it -I'm not sure it's something I feel comfortable touching with all the prying eyes now-a-days. Besides, I kind of like these forums - I'm not sure I want to get thrown off just yet -
Sorry guy -

hm1, you probably deleted the default audio stream.
Simply use your remote control "Audio" button (or your software player menu) to select one you left. ;)

If you are unable to select a secondary audio in your player you may have to go back to page 1 and re-shrink your DVD. This time, remove all foreign languages and select your compression level for menu and trailers to 10 or still pictures. Then choose your compression for the main DVD but do not remove any of the 2 or 6 channel audio files.
At some time we have all made that same mistake, welcome to the club -

scubapete - what would cause audio to work on a computer dvd player and not a tv dvd player? I backedup a dvd with dvdshrink>nero5 and the audio works on my computer but not tv dvd player.

If in trying to get your DVD down to size you unchecked either a 2 or 6 channel audio on your main file group, your computer can find whatever is left but your player might not have that ability. Ddlooping suggested you try to find a remaining audio file in your player - it might not be capable of that function. Re shrink your DVD and either follow my last suggestions OR select DVD in the top of your main window and use that to get your movie down to size -
It works great in the funny papers, you'll be OK :))

nograde1, have you tried using your set-top remote control to change audio?
You probably deleted the default audio stream. Your set-top is probably not configured to select a particular one (like AC3 5.1 for example) but to play the now-removed default one.
Either that, or you might have only kept a DTS stream that your tv is not able to play.
