Ok, i wanted to hook my ps2 up to a wireless connection. but i was wondering... is the wireless card inside of the ps3 good? does anybody know if its good or not? or should i just get a wireless bridge and connect it to the ps3 that way? any advice would be good.

Thanks! :)

It works great for me. Try to be close to your router if you want a decent connection speed though.

i am currantly running a wired connection just due to the fact that it is more stable but the only thing i would like to run wireless would be a laptop but like he said before if ur close to the router you shouldnt be able to tell a difference

I was very anti-wireless, but I needed to cut down on cords. The PS3 is about five feet away from the router and gets great download and online game speeds.

Wireless connection is good, but only half as agood as a wired one.
It all depends on your enviroment as well.
But if like me and you hate wires everywhere (am an electrician, ironic i know) then go for the wireless.

Did you set IP address settings etc to Automatic? generally that causes problems with some devices, where they keep renewing their IP address causing drops in connection. So set a Static IP.
Also what Signal Strength do you have?

EDIT: The PS3 has good wireless,(from about 3m away) Ive played online with a wireless connection to a PC thats on Dial-up and played Call Of Duty 3 online with damn near no noticeable lag.

perry07, my ps3 and router are a fair distance away, but the signal strenght is still always between 75-100%. i thought that it might keep dropping the ip address, and although it ends up with the same address each time, i'll try changing my router abit...thnx.
