a few of my friends are only getting 34 chanels found gone thru the usual suspects good cable,tight connections,from main feed no splitter,n** provider bray and greystones.
have i overlooked anything

switching off the box at the back will give it quick re-boot
( sometimes it needs a swift kick up the ar**),

dont think u have , try autoscan again , sometimes more come in !

do the same thing again factory reset and a new rescan that should sort it as sometimes does not work the first time ok

I am trying to revive a dead box with a jtag i bought but i get the message saying 'The parallel port could not be opened' I am using skymax up 2.1 and windows xp and a starview clone.
any help please

It is not exactly dead the pictures are distorted I bought it on ebay 2nd hand and i assumed all i needed to do was just flash new software to fix problem but that has not solved the problem it was recomended on this forum to jtag so i bought the cable and I am
looking for someone to help with this problem if they haveencountered it before

Normally have your para port set to ECP/EPP you can do this in bios settings

well ma man I fired in 4.51 into the box last week done a rescan and got loads of xtra blank chs u like pace2121, samsung1003 and shi* like that, sentant* 2 seems to just have a sentanta advertisement no programs broadcasted in a couple of days golf and 1 is sound been reading a few ppl in here has had sentan*a issues so I wonder if it is a restructure of packages m8, what u think?

i can get it up here in dub m8, but it comes and goes and thats the channel itself ( like its only on, on certain times)

There is a Jtag tutorial in Eamos Library at the end of my post.You will find it in the Starview Documentation folder, this will help you go through a jtag in a step by step format.
