at present im using v4.00 and its pretty good, no problems at all. i've heard about new software being released the v4.51. whats the difference between this and 4.00? thanks for any help!

Ferg,
its the first time I have ever worked on a eurovox, is there anything I need to do or know about them or is it the same idea as uploading new firmware to Starview?

Ya something similar alright easy enough just make sure you get the right firmware what color box are you doing as you cant put the wrong one on not like starview you will kill it

All my m8 know is that it is a eurovox Max how would he identify the colour?

You have answered the question yourself by the color when did he get it did he not get a disc with all the gear on it inc the loader and the files he needs

he got the box in 2006 but paid silly money for it as some1 from his local pub fitted and installed it and charged a fortune

Hi Ferg,
How are you this evening. I am about to delve into the Eurovox field myself :) As you know me I have done quite a bit of research on this first. In Dublin due to N** downgrading/modulating the frequencies I have seen people having problems with both the 2007 & Max 2008 versions. As such, the 2006 version has not been affected or can at least cope with this problem. And so I have decided to purchase a 2006 model.
As you have also recently gained some experience with the Eurovox do you have any insights?

It will be sorted new firmware due out shortly and i would go for eurovox 2008 black far superior to the other ones the epg is sorted and you do not even need to put in the codes once you scan the channels it find the codes by itself no problem

Thats good news for me saves me sorting his box lol, I take it with eurovox you dont get new firmware all the time like Starview models?
