Youre welcome, happens sometimes as it finds fewer transponders on the few scan with some boxes.

Hi all,
Sorry if this has already been answered but i have gone back a bit and theres no mention of it.
I know that v4.51 is for the box and you shouldn't but has anyone actualy tried this on a starview? I only ask because theres all the stories of them both being the same and now that the box is here i can't see any more firmware comming out for starview unless completely necessary.

yea basically If there is a little square mesh arial on top of their roof then it is mmds.
If the cable itself runs into the ground its 'true cable' !

Connect your usb adapter to your laptop to first then connect the other end to your null modem cable the other end to your box and put on standby then start your gtrom loader browse to your file then download to your box if you got a cd rom for you adapter put in first run it before you connect your usb cable then reboot your pc then do the rest above let me know if you get stuck ok

hi all, my box went down as well, scrambled channels and all. i think all that u need 2 do is switch da box off and on again at da back and everything should be working. i myself did a factory reset at first, not sure i needed to do that. i reckon ppl should try switching da box off and on first otherwise ur gunna hav to 2 sort da damn channel list again!

Fergus,
I have looked at your links to firmware and have 2 questions:
1.I have Starview 2 "The Box" and am in Ireland. I have purchased a box, I presume it can't be a clone if it's number 2 i.e. the firmware won't kill it will it?
2. Your firmware link only provides version 4.00 yet you said it should be v 4.51 in Ireland?
So which firmware should I download from your link for an Irish Starview 2 box using NThell.
Thanks in advance.
