Not a bother just you will get people being lazy and just keep asking for them all the time they wont look for themselves just point them towards any posts i have made as there is a particular thread where we set up for all the information for them to look

Take the lead out of the box and plug straight into tv and see are you having the same problem if you are it is a cc problem ok

HI all,
i have a starview clone and everything seems fine. However, I cannot seem to get channel 5 on my listings. Everything else works fine, except for that. I have rescanned today thinking that maybe i deleted it, but still no channel 5 - any idea's why that may be?
Also, does anyone know, is it possible to get HD TV from one of these boxes? I can see the BBC HD channel, but know that i need a hdmi connection to feed my HD TV. Is there a newer starview box that has hdmi? Generally I don't think that the quality of the picture from my starview box is that good - is that just a problem with the box? My TV has a built in tuner, and the picture on that is much better than from the starview box.

Can you go to menu system information and tell me what API version you have on your box and are you sure it is a clone you have 18 vents on the top of it

Hi Fergus,
That was a quick response! - I just checked the faq in your sig, and performed a manual scan and found five! brill! thanks mate.
However, do you know whether I can get a better picture out of the starview box, or better yet, is there a way to get a starview box with HDMI out?
FYI the box is a clone - 7 rows of 18 vents. The box is on API version 2.57e_E.

You might have to change your box but not sure to which one try a gold tipped scart lead as this is supposed to be the best you can get less loss of signal also is it the fixed V2.57eu you are using which autorolls and is for the clone it is available on the eko site at the bottom of my post ok

That is all it does finds the keys for ya when they change them so you do not need to input codes any longer

i was due a n*l breakdown anyway,!! still have freeview box with a loft aerial working and pc so plenty of options open.

I have a friend who has a box and he doesnt know his PIN, and its not 0000, he needs to do the factory reset. Is there a way of doing this?
