I have seen you ask this query a few times in relation to the Eurovox as well. I think the problem lies in the fact that the cabling there is not true cable and it is either a MMDS or analogue cabling system and that is the reason you cannot get these boxes to work there.

You can send a pm to Fergusrb as I think he was working on a solution to a problem similar to this, although I think it was an MMDS solution using a different box and I am not sure if that was for the Ashbourne area.

Yes scouser you are quite right that was for the ashbourne area but if he would like to try that is no bother as the digivox works there as the MMDS is supplied by C***** but N** own it so it is there symbol rate and there freq you have to get and there so close together you have to have them to hand if they want to pm me i will try and dig the freq out for them ok

Nice info Ferg spot on as usual. I had a similar query regarding the Greystones area on C*****, although I think the cabling there is the issue as it may not be digital.

Hi

Just got a starview box and i am having difficultly getting all of the paid for channels(the ones with a green pound sign on them) the other ones like bubble hits and euro news work fine! i have followed these steps exactly:1 Menu
2 Factory settings
3 type in code ( 0000)
4 press ok. this will delete channels.
5 Installation
6 Change provider (Eg n*L etc)to which ever one used in your area.
7 autoscan ( when it says *** channels found , exit back out all the way until u are back at the scrambled/no signal 'tv' screen)
8 Hit menu again
9 go into parental control
10 press info on remote and type in 2004
11 new screen appears , change EMU to on
Then exit back out all the way until u are back at the scrambled/no signal 'tv' screen

I live on the northside of dublin and have ntl digital!
it still doesnt work any help appreciated??

can you go to menu and to system information and tell me what api version is on your box also is it starview 1 or 2 thebox thanks

Also check your cable is working plug direct into you tv to test

on the box it just says starview it doesnt say 1 or 2!

ok you need to change the version to v4.00 that is the old version you have on it als can you count the vents on the top of the box for me has it got 13/18/or 25 in a row to make sure you get the correct firmware ok

that is a clone box so you cant put v4.00 on it you will have to put v2.57eu on it when did you buy this box

Yes it will here is what you need download all this to a folder on your pc do not open the bin file on your pc as it is only for your box and you will bust your pc ok
