Hows it goin lads. I live in Waterford and I have the box but the picture is very jumpy lately, ive heard from a few other complaints from people having the same problem with both the box and starview, is this just a local problem or is anyone else in the country having the same problem, thanks.

Boxes are fine in Dublin since the other day has your problem been persistent?

Its been like that for the past wk. I even had a different AV channel on, on a couple of occasions and it automatically switched itself back on to the box AV channel as if the box had switched itself off and back on again. I havent updated it to the new 4.53 version but i might give it a try and see if that solves the problem?

You could but there is now another new version 4.54.

Is this new 4.54 version the bug solver for the 4.53 version or does it too have a few kinks in it?

Nope not a bug solver as such it has just added on more frequencies for Ireland so should have better signal reception qualities.

Where can I get the new version from also I read that I need the latest Gtrom loader aswell, Ive checked eamo's library but can't see it there.

Thanks for the info m8. I found that I had the correct firmware but what I was doing wrong was that I was not loading the updates in the correct sequence but I found this out how to do this on wizard so thanks for the info.

I am in UK and 4.54 is fine with me it will work with you both are the same except 4.54 has extra frequencys for ireland but I have noticed a difference in my pic I have not had 1 pic freeze since install

Now then guys, i,ve a problem with a mates starview.For some reason it won,t exit the language screen! It just ok,s to the main menu etc,and on the main menu i,ve noticed parental control and channel edit are not highlighted. Any ideas please!

yes he has done a factory reset that is why except the language then into installation choose your provider and auto scan and turn emu back on and job is done

ya we all do that when things go wrong tell him to lock the menu and that will sort it been touched parental control >look down bottom menu lock scroll to right just make sure you remember password lol :)
