hi there i used GTRom v4.00 which i am sure that you will find on any of the link mentioned on this thread. i dont know to put on attachment to this but others do so just follow there advice as i have done.

If its 13 vents and scart to the right , you can use the GENUINE firmware , if not , its a clone and dont update with this firmwre
its 13 x 7 and scart is on the left side if lookin directly at the top if ye get me

celtic sorry for botherin y if ya still on the box has 13 x 7 vents the scart is on the left side if you look at the box from the front face part is this a gonner for the momment??

hi all, i have a cloned box exterior but 1st gen software inside, can anyone tell me if the new software for genuine boxs would work on it? or send it fubar? any advice welcome..thanks

Lads,
After flashing my Black Eurovox Max V 2008 to the latest frmware Keuro3_10_04_08
I plugged the Eurovox in and it is still saying Please wait code being updated ?
after about 5mins.
I went into Menu and pressed yellow button and the provider and Key 00 and Key 01
are all blank.
In the Channel Manager i still seem to have the same channels in the same order as
i saved these and reloaded them
during flashing.
Its strange i pressed ok and the channel list appeared and i seem to have 1 channel
and thats SETANTA IRELAND, every other channell says Please Wait
updating.
Can anyone please help me.

good morning everyone, my box has 18 vents vertical/7 horizontal..scarts on left..but inside after checkin on this site the motherboard is ist generation not genuine original..will latest update work as its not a clone? no red soldering marks etc..or will my box be fubar if i try and install?

how ya red sounds like you have a first gen box and im sure the software will work on it but to be sure to be sure id hang on for confirmation from celtic or scouser b4 ya go ahead

ive wat looks like a clone box from the outside didnt bother open it up to have a look,,, jus put on new firmware worked a treat....must have the original stuff inside it

Hi folks, last year i had no idea i had a cloe, i updated to lasted genuine software, after a few days it started freezing and eventually bricked, jtagged it and went back to clone fixed firmware, last wek with all the code rolling probs i flashed the autoroll file thinking it was legit..that was on the 11th now 15th , all ok , codes rolling fine....just waiting for the big brick..lol crossed fingers...i was going for a new box anyways ,had more than moneys worth from this...what should i buy?

Hi everyone I just got off the phone with a company that sell's clone S/V 1 box's. And the lady said to me that all her box's can be loaded with the gen firmware as it has a 'bigger capacitor' on the board? (what a load of B**L) Is this ture? They have on there website free downloads of the gen firmware to load to the clones! Please do not load them on to the clones it will kill them in time. It mite work for a week or a month but the processor on the board would not last long.
Please wait until we have a trused firmware is out for the clones.

im nearly positive mine is a Genuine black EuroVox Max V 2008 box, but im not 100% certain...and i put genuine frmware on it.
i opened up the box and had a look inside it, with the pics that were on some thread to identify if it was a clone or a genuine box.

They simply change the frequency at which they transmit the new codes. And when I referr to "Frequency" I don't mean how often ;-)

hi Gman,
sewsunker was talking about the box dying, not about the code updating.
I know the situation wit the codes updating.
pain in the back side, but at least we can get around that when codes are posted.
Im worried about updating frmware and then box working for a week or a month or so and then just dying.

VERY BAD NEWS
The Codes just rolled again on Ch&rus !!
I updated my Black EuroVox Max V 2008 to the latest frmware and it did not Autoroll.
So i can confirm this frmware does not work on Ch&rus in Swords thats for Sure.
I'll sit tight and wait for this new Firmware for Ch&rus cause the chances are there wont be any new codes until tomorrow like there was none until Monday after it went during the ManU v's Arsenal game.
im off out.....i cant look at this BOX i'll only throw it out the window..!!
Anyone else getting Please wait updating codes on Ch&rus this evening ?

celtic or scouser is the fix for genuine sv working with no repports of anything dramatic happening cause if it is I,m going to whip mine out and flash with fix
