OK this is a random and silly question but its been bugging me for a while.

Anyway, I've got kind of a funny question for Ireland:

I was just wondering if you have full-"Mod" rights like all the other Mods. I would assume so and I am just guessing the "DVD X Copy" part simply means you got "promoted" to Mod during the X Copy days. If I am thinking correctly thats why your title is "DVD X Copy Moderator" instead of the "regular" Moderator title. Correct?

Back in the day DVDXcopy was the big name in doing DVD backups. Then Big Brother visited on 321. For a while XCopy was one of the very few programs available. I hear the XCopy forum here at AD was big news back then and the busiest part of the forum. It still exists and Ireland is still the chief mod there. http://dvdxcopy.afterdawn.com/forum_view.cfm/92 With all the other software, there's not much interest in XCopy and it's newer derivatives. Things have quietened down over there.

Yeah, I remember using X Copy to make my first backup. Took just a bit of reading to get it working. :P

However, soon enough other "Backup" tools such as Shrink took over X Copy (both in price and in quality) and together with "Big Brother" from what I remember caused X Copy to phase out of the "backup" scene.

Anyway, no real complaints today. I am getting a buddy from work lined up with my dad's co-worker to get him pre-approved (I still get pre-approved and pre-qualified confused, pre-approved is much better. :P) for a loan and then I am going to see where he wants to get a house so I can see whats available in that area and in his price range. :-)

Hopefully things work out, I will keep everyone updated.

Peace

On the exercise bit, I would say simply start walking (possibly daily, or every other day) and work up slowly, over a month or so, to a nice jog/run pace. This will give your body time to adapt and won't wipe you out too badly, possibly causing you to "give up" on attempting to exercise.

Dunno about the hair bit, if your dad/grandpa had white hair around the age you are its probably genetic. Diet may play a role too but I am not sure on that.

Peace

Yeah I do at least 1 mile a day at about 4-5 mph, sometimes I do about 8-9 mph but I cant keep that pace up for too long lol. I also lift weights and stuff, but I get about 2 and a half hours everyday to workout, do homework, and any other leisure activities these days, so my only constraint is time I guess.

It sounds like you get a decent workout in so it could just be that you have more of a big build due to genetics.

Although some people think its weird, there are really big guys out there that are actually fitter then the real skinny ones that look in shape but really are not.

If your lifting weights and running every day I'm sure your body is in great shape, even if it doesn't really look like it. Just a tip on the working out; daily running, from what I know is ok, but if your doing any sort of major weight lifting be sure and do it every other day instead of every day. If I remember correctly, it gives your muscles time to "recharge" and reduces the chance of you straining, pulling or otherwise injuring them.

Yeah I alternate between arms, chest and legs. I'm not really that fat but I have moob type things. They aren't really moobs because it's just fat and not a genetic disorder.

EDIT: I think I'm kinda fat, but people tell me at worst I'm kinda chubby, but I always think they are just trying to be polite lol.

Ah, your fine then work out wise. Sure, you have "moobs", most guys do. Again, as long as your working out you'll be fine. When I said "Its probably genetic" I didn't mean a disorder I simply ment that your father, grandfather, etc. probably had (or has) "moobs" too.

From what I can tell its a perfectly normal guy thing to eventually develop "moobs" at some point in life. :P

It also seems like a perfectly normal human thing to say "I'm fat!" as girls always say it and I have been finding out in the past few years that it seems like guys almost say it as much as girls.

abuzar1,you can workout all you want but the main thing is changing you're eating habits. no pop , limit the sweets lots of fruit and vegetables and cut the calories to a min. it takes a complete life style change when you get to you're mid to late 40s to stay healthy

abcd is right, although I was lucky, it wasnt until after 50 when things changed maybe because I was always active and being a construction worker, before 50 I could eat everything in site, after 50 I found that I could gain weight by just looking at food.

As for the fat thing, I guess I'm a bit on the chubby side - being a lazy student doesn't really coincide with healthy living, not under the influences I've got anyway!
Exercise plenty, but the diet leaves a lot to be desired! :)

On the zune thing, I got a Toshiba Gigabeat F20 a couple of years ago, and have no desire to change it. The software's just about useable (and is the worst of any Mp3 player you can buy) but the player itself is pretty good, I guess that shows what happens when Microsoft get involved with the production of hardware. As the ancestor of the zune, how does the software differ to mine?

Well I have to say the Zune software is very nice, and very FAST. It also syncs much faster than an iPod.

The thing is I'm 16 not 40! I did stop drinking pop though.

It looks like fake bidders have a thing for Fords. I found another one, which in the auction the lister stated "I have relisted this truck 6 times because of fraudulent bidders".

The guy says in the auction that the first one to call him (he provides his number) and offer him $36k gets the truck.

The current high "bid" is $10 million. >.<

Sugar and starch will raise your insulin levels thus putting your body into fat storing mode. I agree with Pop_smith though because I know a lot of very active and healthy guy's that are chubby. Don't they say that sumo wrestlers are in good shape. As long as you exercise the way you do don't worry.

The only light truck near being worth $36,000 is the Lincoln Mark LT and it's a limo with a truck bed, MSRP $38,000. A person would have to be filthy rich or crazy to own one of those. Could you see hauling bails of fence wire in the back of one of those or moving your buddies junk.

Liberal history 101

For those that don't know about history...Here is a condensed version...

Humans originally existed as members of small bands of nomadic
hunters/gatherers. They lived on deer in the mountains during the summer and
would go to the coast and live on fish and lobster in the winter.
The two most important events in all of history were the invention of beer
and the invention of the wheel. The wheel was invented to get man to the
beer. These were the foundation of modern civilization and together were the
catalyst for the splitting of humanity into two distinct subgroups:

1. Liberals, and
2. Conservatives.

Once beer was discovered, it required grain and that was the beginning of
agriculture. Neither the glass bottle nor aluminum can were invented yet, sowhile

our early humans were sitting around waiting for them to be invented,

they just stayed close to the brewery. That's how villages were formed.

Some men spent their days tracking and killing animals to B-B-Q at night
while they were drinking beer. This was the beginning of what is known as
the Conservative movement.

Other men who were weaker and less skilled at hunting learned to live off
the conservatives by showing up for the nightly B-B-Q's and doing the
sewing, fetching, and hair dressing. This was the beginning of the Liberal
movement.

Some of these liberal men eventually evolved into women. The rest became
known as girlie-men. Some noteworthy liberal achievements include the
domestication of cats, the invention of group therapy, group hugs, and the concept

of Democratic voting to decide how to divide the meat and beer that conservatives provided.

Over the years conservatives came to be symbolized by the largest, most powerful land

animal on earth, the elephant. Liberals are symbolized by the jackass.

Modern liberals like imported beer (with lime added), but most prefer white
wine or imported bottled water. They eat raw fish but like their beef well
done. Sushi, tofu, and French food are standard liberal fare. Another
interesting evolutionary side note: most of their women have higher
testosterone levels than their men. Most social workers, personal injury
attorneys, journalists, dreamers in Hollywood and group therapists are
liberals. Liberals invented the designated hitter rule because it wasn't
fair to make the pitcher also bat.

Conservatives drink domestic beer, mostly Bud. They eat red meat and still
provide for their women. Conservatives are big-game hunters, rodeo cowboys,
lumberjacks, construction workers, firemen, medical doctors, police
officers, corporate executives, athletes, Marines, and generally anyone who
works productively. Conservatives who own companies hire other conservatives who want to work for a living.

Liberals produce little or nothing. They like to govern the producers and
decide what to do with the production. Liberals believe Europeans are more
enlightened than Americans. That is why most of the liberals remained in
Europe when conservatives were coming to America . They crept in after the
Wild West was tamed and created a business of trying to get more for nothing.

Here ends today's lesson in world history:
It should be noted that a Liberal may have a momentary urge to angrily
respond to the above before forwarding it.

A Conservative will simply laugh and be so convinced of the absolute truth of
this history that it will be forwarded immediately to other true believers
and to more liberals just to piss them off.

And there you have it. Let your next action reveal your true self.
