I would try downloading a different game-if you have the settings correct in the recovery console, and a umd game inserted in the drive-Your games should work..

Upgrade to 3.5 then downgrade to 1.5 first. You will need to use the Noobz 3.5 downgrader which will require the game Luminus
#1: 2.81 -> 3.03 -> 3.11 DoH (no more :D)
#2: 1.00 -> 1.5 -> 3.03oe-c
#3: Ceramic white 1.5 -> 3.03oe-c -> 3.40oe
Whatever happens, happens...

Maybe a stupid question i don't know but some clarity from anyone out there would be sweet....
So I have a couple of games for my PSP in UMD format, Ratchet and Clank is one of them, when I initally played R&C i had to upgrade the PSP. Does this mean that if I downgrade my psp to play cso files the next time i want to play ratchet and clank i'll have to upgrade it and then go through the entire process of downgrading it again?

You use custom firmware. Latest is 3.52 m33. It's basically the same 3.52 sony release with homebrew added on. Upgrade to it from 1.5.

#2: 1.00 -> 1.5 -> 3.03oe-c

Sorry to be a pain, new to all this...I'm going to upgrade to 3.5 then downgrade to 1.5 and then upgrade to this 3.52 m33, is there anything else i'll need to be able to install this all other than that game?

Make sure you have cso's in the right folder: ISO folder in the root of your memory stick. There is a sony's NO-UMD option, make sure it's turned on from recovery.
#1: 2.81 -> 3.03 -> 3.11 DoH (no more :D)
#2: 1.00 -> 1.5 -> 3.03oe-c

devhook....hehe
@bkemdano-you should format your memory stick now that you have upgraded to custom firmware-It will create the file directory for you, then you can just place your iso/cso into the ISO folder.
