how can you expect to compare a racing game to a first person shooter?
they are both VERY good, so it depends on your personal tastes. both have very good online. get them both.

My opinion: I've played both and hated MotorStorm online got bored of it so quickly. Resistance Fall of Man on the other hand is awesome and I love it online, barley any lag and I like to rank up and unlock stuff. I liked MotorStorm on campaign though that seemed to be fun. So if you're looking for and online game go with Resistance Fall of Man but MotorStorm is fun on campaign.
Thats just my opinion, and what I think.

wtf there's rank up on ps3.wow i thought that was a ps2 thing.thats gay.i ranked up because i thought it was my last chance before ps3.oh and i played resistance single player and i loved it so i guess the online is better!

motor storm has brilliant graphics and its 1 of the most reccomended games so far, but the games a bit short and borin after a while, resistance has good graphics and is enjoyable to play, soo honistly i think resistance coz its got beta game play

Nobody's mentioned it thus far, but I've heard Darkness can be pretty fun, though it gets weird at times and it might be a little short, so it might be just worth a rental....and just wait till this fall, lair, assassins creed,gta4, just a few it should be a decent x-mas for ps3 owners...

yeah those games are going to be sweet, but about GTA is delayed if you don't know, so you won't be getting it at X-mas. Assassins Creed looks awesome though can't wait!

Nah not till x-mas... till March '08!!! Lair's coming out soon and I'm def going to be getting that. 2008 should be the best year for PS3 and also motorstorm is mostly just a show piece. R:FoM is the one you want to get. Or wait till lair comes out if you don't mind playing a little "fantasy".

well im more into the shooter games so i would have to say resistance. i have played motorstorm but did not like it that much. if you are a fan of racing games then you shoud pick up motorstorm if not get resistance.

Resistance is the game you should get.It is awsome online and single player is good aswell.On the otherhand motorstorm is crap and i think it is crap online aswell.But its up to you. i swaped motorstorm for rainbow six vegas which is sikkkkkkk.

Well I found Rainbow Six online has tons of lagg so I traded it for Oblivion.

yh motorstorm gets boring and is no fun after a while. you get sick of racing in the same track again again and again and the vehicles crash too quick adn sometimes for no reason. who wants to get stranglehold

Oblivion
Genji: Days of The Blade
Resistance Fall of Man
Ninja Gaiden Sigma
Except for Genji, all these games are sick and i reccomend them.

F.E.A.R. is a bad ass game, havent quite finished it but it is a very good game, looking forward to the new Resident Evil.

Ghost Recon and Warhawk are also great games. Both with a fun online mode(warhawk is online only).
