Hi

It might sound daft, But can you install the UK firmware patch onto a US PS3 console ?

Or can you now play Pal Uk ps2 games on US ps3 ?

I don't have a PS3 yet but was wondering if it worth getting one.!!!!!

Firmwares and games are region free, movies arent.

I've read on some older thread the pal games for ps2 will not play on NTCS ps3's..
That why I asked incase firmware had fixed this..

also there is a US version of playstation 3 website..

the ps3 games and the firmware are all region free, although if you have a uk ps3 and wanting to watch an ntsc blu-ray or play a ntsc ps2 or ps1 game then it wont work
