I have seen multiple ads for the new 80GB PS3 bundle and in every picture it shows the PS button glowing red, does anyone know if they finally put the light under there that should have been there the whole time (like the 360's glowing x button)?. I was just wondering because I was going to mod mine with a red SMD LED, but i'd rather get another one and not risk ruining my controller.

yea they do...one of my friends on the psn got one...but he got screwed over and they didnt send him one of the LEDs or something...so he soldered a blue LED...it looks purty effin cool...

Actually, the answer is no. the Debug PS3 controller that the devs use have the orange LEDs, all the other ones dont.

i don't think they ship like that, but you can get them on ebay, but as always buyer beware...

there are guides on the net on how to do it, i personally haven't but might sometime. i am not sure what effect if any they have on battery life, but i am curious.

th they do because they are including the led controller in the 80gb version so they will obviously seel the led controller seperatly like they do with the normal controll
