you have a copy of unpatched Lumines UMD then? since you said you were on 3.50FW you will need this to DG, unless you use Pandora's Battery...

but yeah, if ur on 3.51 u could do an upgrade to 3.52 and then brick it by interrupting the upgrade. (in theory, i've not tried this)
if u've got 3.52 i'm not sure how you'd get it to brick, unless they release a 3.53 soon and brick it during that process.....only time will tell if sony will make an upgrade quickly, and they can't really seal this hole quickly like with previous holes, so hopefully they won't try cuz i think they'd have to redo a whole lot of crap since it's similar to the technique they use, or is the same technique they use.....
title is updated.
hey smurff man long time no talk man!! well need to catch up lool!! hit me up with your emial or somn ;)
any way dude u dnt need to brick to downgrade from 3.5X FWs the jigstick works on ALL psp's regardless of FW... the recovery menu that boots isnt from the FW itself its from the actually PSP NAND so it can be restored from any kind of FW failure. so if your on 3.52 offcial or custom u just prepare your memory stick and battery on your psp then go ahead and use it then flash the 1.50 eboot !!! simple ass dude!!!
Also btw to restore your memory card just format it simple.

Wait, would this work if you were to emulate 1.50? Because my firmware is 2.71 and DarK_AleX made Devhook for 2.71 so now I can emulate 1.5. Hopefully I can so I can finally downgrade to 1.5 without worrying about bricking.

Why brick the PSP just to downgrade? You will still need a PSP that has 1.50 offical firmware or CF to create the JigKick Battery. So if your at 3.52 offical firmware and want to downgrade it to 1.50 find a friend or someone that has a PSP with either the 1.50 offical firmware or a CF and create the JigKick Battery. Then use that to downgrade your 3.52 Offical firmware PSP to 1.50 firmware. (You do not have to brick your PSP to do this)

If someone has 3.52 offical firmware on their PSP they can not simply use it to create the JigKick Battery.
If they have the 3.52 offical firmware they will need to find a PSP that has the 1.50 offical firmware or CF installed and use that to create the JigKick Battery. Then use the JigKick Battery that was created with the 1.50 or CF PSP on their 3.52 PSP to downgrade.

Nicely done, my friend...We just need to get the word out that in order to accomplish this great feat, a PSP running 1.50/and or cfw is required to do so...

I've got 2 questions about this so far:
1) It says that the version of 1.50 it flashes is a minimal version:
Quote: Therefore, not all applications (such as flashers, or
recovery apps) will load.
Does this mean you can still run CFW updates fine?
2) How in the world does a battery retain files?
PSP, all the way from 1.00 to 5.50 GEN D2 - DS Lite w/ M3DS Real (M3 Sakura v1.34)
PS3 3.01 - iPod Touch 2G 16GB Jailbroken - Xbox 360 60GB - PC, Q6600, 3GB DDR2, GTX260 (216) 896MB

battery doesnt retain files... the recovery from the psp boots only froma speacial code that the battery gives out and the battery app changes that code so the reocvery loads and fromt ehre the recovery will launch the files on your MS aka 1.50 subset...!

Heh, i'd like to say i'm technically inclined, but still, if it's even just a "code" how does it make the battery change to give this code?

I like the easy installer.
But are you claiming the easy installer will work on a PSP with official 3.51 or 3.52 firmware?
Wouldn't you have to run code to (hack) the battery and if you have a PSP with official firmware how would it be able to run the unsigned code to do this?

Good question, Larry. However, we're just interested in the official release and providing this service (auto install). We don't have any PSPs to test this on (official fw anyway - to test the downgrading portion of this release), but if it's made by Dark_AleX, why question it? You should know by the name it works. Anyway, any questions like these I would suggest you check into the read me. The team (C+D, Dark_AleX) know more about this than we do. :)
Thanks for downloading!

@guano
I am not questioning anything that Dark_AleX has done. Plus I am not questioning the official release of this homebrew.
I am questioning on touran22 claiming that the auto-installer will work on any PSP with official firmware or CF.
In order for this to work you have to run code on the PSP to hack the battery. How would a PSP with official firmware run unsigned code to hack the battery?

ok so u can see by now i made a mistake jeez... i shoudla said it only works with psp's that are homebrew enabled i.e CFW
when i made that statement i was probs still busy about the release of our installer.
is that better for you know?
you obviously know u cant run code on non patched RAM (officail FW's...) so all you had to say was i wrong sheesh.
