is that better for you know?

you obviously know u cant run code on non patched RAM (officail FW's...) so all you had to say was i wrong sheesh.
Not a problem....It happens to the best of us. I imagine it will only be a matter of time though before the boys come up with a way to run this on official fw.

@sphynx630-I dont see why you couldn't run the program on an unbricked psp-I think it would be just like running the recovery eboot from the recovery console...

@kikzm33z-via=another way of saying "by way of.." ex: 'We decided to travel via bus, rather than walk'

wait hold up.... u can use this on OFFICIAL FW.....

all u need is a psp which can load hombrew so u can install via my installer and then run the homebrew to turn the battery into a jigstick then just simply use the battery on the official FW simple...

So i neva got anything wrong except the fact that u cant run homebrew on official FW... thats it.

Forgive me if this is a stupid question , but i dont know much about psp..

But my brother bought a psp in the store and it had ver 1.5 on it , then he played a game and endet up with 2.81.

Now my question is , can he use this to downgrade to version 1.5 without having to buy gta or the other game ???

I should add that his psp is only being used as it was , no homebrew or anything like that .

Thanks

@DEVINRL

touran22 is correct.

If you have a PSP with 1.50 or CF on it you can downgrade your cousins PSP 3.52 to 1.50 by using your PSP.

Just run the Pandora's easy installer that touran22 made or the official release on your PSP and then place the Jigkick battery and the MS into your cousins PSP to downgrade it to 1.50. Then you can upgrade with CF.

Make sure you save the eeprom of your batery so you can recover your battery after the downgrade is complete.

@touran22

Don't get me wrong I think the easy installer kicks ass. You created it to make the steps easy for newbies and I just wanted to clear that up so they where not trying to use their own PSP with offical firmware to downgrade.

Sorry, I meant the boys (C+D) figuring out a way to run the pandora battery program on a non-homebrewable psp to create the "battery"...I know you would be able to run the modified battery on official fw that is bricked....

nah if 3.52 was to run homebrew then this wouldn be needed becuase u could load homebrew to access flash and there for downgrade...

a few points to answer some questions in this thread:

- you need a 1.5FW or CFW to actually patch the battery to create the JigKick

- you can use this on a non-bricked psp, you get the JigKick menu (which allows you to dump the nand if you like)

- to be able to return the battery to non-service mode (normal), make sure you have backed up the eeprom from the battery BEFORE patching. you can then run the battery creator to flash the eeprom back to the battery

PS LOL at the other 2 threads calling it a JigStick :-) I suppose that is a mixture of JigKick adn Magic Memory Stick...

@tmbm

You need a working PSP with 1.50 firmware or a PSP with CFW running in order to convert the battery and recover your bricked PSP.

After all the files are on the MS and the battery has been converted to a Jigkick with the working PSP you will then place the MS then the Jigkick battery into your bricked PSP to recover it.

Wondering how many other times this information will have to be explained.

Well I said above...

Then you just asked above...

and you claim your not dumb. Well maybe your not dumb but to lazy to read all post.

The only reason I assumed you had a bricked PSP is because you said your PSP wouldn't turn on.

Yes you can keep the Jigkick battery and MS as is and use it over and over again. But keep in mind you can not use the Jigkick battery as a normal PSP battery in your PSP.

Yes. you can use it over and over, you can't make it on the PC for the same kind of reason you can't change fimware through the PC. That said, you need a homebrew enabled PSP to make the battery and memory stick into the Jig-Kick.

Yes it will recover your bricked PSP. Just use your working PSP with CFW to add the files to MS and convert the battery. Then place the MS into your bricked PSP and the Jigstick battery into it and recover to 1.50 firmware.

Aaaah but technically he can, he's selling a service that just so happens to use free programs. People would be paying for his time, the use of his equipment and his knowledge, not to mention the fact that they might not be competent enough to do it themselves. He can also buy bricked PSP's and unbrick them and sell them for more, because, again, he's not selling the program itself.
Although I would at least recommend he donate some of his profits to the scene, is fully up to him.
